Casa de la Trepada

Una casa in legno bellissima, elegantemente decorata e arredata, con tanti angolini esterni per rilassarsi nella natura sotto al portico o nella bellissima terrazza coperta affacciata sui tanti alberi del giardino tropicale, in cui abbiamo visto le scimmie che si dondolavano a pochi metri da noi e una coppia di aguti che correva nel vialetto. Temevo le zanzare ma nonostante fosse la stagione delle piogge non sono state fastidiose e ci hanno fatto godere le cene nel portico e il relax sulle amache. Naturalmente il contatto con gli insetti (tra cui alcuni di dimensioni mai viste) è inevitabile ma fa parte della bellezza del luogo totalmente immerso nella natura. L'accesso alla casa è tramite qualche centinaio di metri di strada non asfaltata in salita e un vialetto molto ripido ma con macchina noleggiata tipo piccolo suv, anche con la pioggia battente, non ci sono stati problemi. La posizione è tranquilla a 5 minuti di auto da Puerto Viejo e da tutti i servizi e a 10 minuti a piedi da una bella spiaggia selvaggia. Ci tornerei subito!

- excellent communication with the host, lots of information and easy handover of keys all managed using WhatsApp - lovely manager living in the next house that can help with any question or problem - parking in front of the house - lots of animals to see and enjoy while being there. Every morning we saw monkeys and huge parrots - close to all attractions and beachfront

- only indoor spaces are the bedrooms, so if you are sensitive to mosquitos be aware, specially at night - no blinds or covers on the bedrooms. Sunrises at 5:30 so you will get lots of light - lots of animals: that's a good and bad thing depending on your own preference. For me was ok but some other family members struggled with it. These is no real insulation and animals can enter freely anywhere so you can find all types of bugs everywhere. If you are sensitive to that this is not your place - kitchenware and cutlery is quite limited. No microwave - very old washing machine and no drying machine - beach towels but no snorkeling gear or sun umbrellas, which would be great to have

The location, out of the main busy town, opposite punta uva. The wildlife was amazing. The property is charming, the detail in everything, the craftsmanship, a very serene environment that oozes peace and love. Everything you need is provided, lovely functional kitchen, plenty of hanging out places to soak in the beauty

Steep hill to get to it unless you have a car it can be an issue for some

was such a stunning place. you hear the animals of the rainforest. the hole house is very clean and it‘s the perfect place for relaxing! the communication was also easy and if you have questions all will be answered. would like to go back there oneday!!
