Ambre - Adults only

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Ambre. The hotel is beautiful, the food was consistently delicious, and we thoroughly enjoyed our time here — especially the lobster night! But what really made our stay so special was the staff, their service and genuine hospitality. Sheila was always so bubbly, friendly and welcoming, greeting us with a smile every time. Rakesh went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. He took the time to check in with us and even arranged a special dinner with dhol puri and fish curry because we wanted to experience some of the local flavours. That thoughtful gesture meant so much to us. Every member of staff we encountered was warm, attentive and genuinely interested in making sure we were enjoying ourselves. The level of service and hospitality is something we honestly haven't experienced before on our travels. Ambre is beautiful, but it is the people who make this place truly special. Thank you to the entire team for making our Mauritius holiday so memorable. We will definitely be back! 🇲🇺❤️

Friendly staff, we had a small incident with one of the waitress which was immediately addressed by management (Michael was the best) Arkesh, Baby and our room cleaner Ram were great

The pressure of water in our shower was very low and at times hot water not enough.

The beach-facing rooms are delightful. You are 20m away from the ocean with uninterrupted views. Plenty of recliners are scattered all over the beach areas. Gardens are impeccable. Staff are very attentive. Food quality is excellent.

Main pool bar service slips when things get busy. Could do with a few more hands on deck.

Location was great . The room was comfortable if a little tired. Loved the all inclusive- it made things easy and we enjoyed it. It was lovely having the different restaurants too. Food was excellent throughout. Sheila encouraged us to joint the seafood evening at the beach and it was great.

The rooms are very tired but were comfortable . It was not good that both the kettle and hairdryer had to use a plug on the floor far away from any facilities. There was no mirror except for far away at the cupboard. While there were some amazing staff, most could do with customer service training. When asked for assistance they were very quick to send us to others to assist, who would then send us back to the initial person. There was no accountability in their jobs. The tennis and boat assistants were particularly bad and often rude and condescending, especially to the younger members of our group. For example when trying to book a snorkelling trip they insisted that they could not assist, then proceeded to tell us they were doing us a great favour and we could have a boat at three in the afternoon the next day. Following on the next day - the booking was not been made. Check in was another debacle. What should have been a slick easy time turned into hours of wasted time.
