My particular room size and layout exceeded expectations because not only was it big, but it had a separate kitchen with a door and the picture on the site indicated my room night include the kitchen in the living area itself. Any appliance you required was included: electric kettle, induction stove with 2 burners, excellent refrigerator (not just a "beverage chiller"), mini dishwasher, microwave, and (American style?) standard coffee maker. Kitchen also included plates, cups, glasses, silverware, and pots/pans. If laundry is required, there are machines on the floor. Apartment was very clean! There was a tower fan which was very necessary due to the hot weather. The TV and channel selection was perfect, AND the TV itself had a USB-C connector which allowed me to recharge my device battery for phone and iPad, since I had forgotten an adapter and wasn't sure if I should buy an EU or Swiss version (NOTE: the hotel itself has France Type-E outlets which also accept Type C plugs. If you're also going between Switzerland and/or riding the trains, you should also be able to use a Type C plug for both if you don't have a universal adapter).
The location is in a diverse neighborhood of Annemasse, and is near many restaurants, bars, and retail stores. Across the street you can find a Monoprix for groceries. It's a quick 5 minute walk from the Annemasse train station, and about 45-60 min to the Geneva Airport depending on your connections. In the other direction you can hop on and be in Evian-les-Bains in about 40 minutes.
To US visitors hoping to stock up on French skincare: the local Pharmacie selection isn't as robust as larger cities, and is generally more expensive. I only happened to walk by a store called Parashop Annemasse, which doesn't come up under "Pharmacies" in Google Maps. I recommend shopping here first, because they had the best selection and prices for notable French beauty brands in the area.
There was a smell of heavy men's cologne in the room when I first checked in, but I managed to air it out by opening the windows for a while. :D
I was very grateful for the fan in the hot weather, but it might be good for older visitors to know in advance there is no air conditioning in case they aren't as tolerant to heat.
