The most wonderful hotel with special staff

Sofitel the Palm was the most beautiful hotel and resort. All areas of the hotel were tastefully decorated and beautifully landscaped. The beach and pools were all wonderful with plenty of comfy sunbeds. We all enjoyed the onsite restaurants which offered different cuisines and settings and there was plenty of choice on the half board menu options. We found the buggy service really useful to take you to different parts of the hotel. Finally but most importantly every single member of staff was friendly and helpful and couldn't do enough to make your stay special.

The drinks were very expensive compared to UK prices and an all inclusive option would have been good

A perfect blend of luxury, comfort, family-friendly amenities, and exceptional service.

We recently stayed at Sofitel Dubai The Palm and had an absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish. The suites are very generous in size and exceptionally comfortable for a family with kids, offering plenty of space to relax and unwind. Our suite was beautifully designed, featured a stunning bathroom, and had two terraces, which added an extra touch of luxury and made the stay even more enjoyable. The view was spectacular as well, thank you very much! The hotel is fantastic for families and kids — there are loads of pools, a beautiful beach, and plenty of activities to keep children entertained, while still offering a relaxing and refined atmosphere for adults. Every staff member we interacted with was exceptionally good and genuinely friendly throughout our stay, with a special mention to Monirul from HK team, who ensured everything was always immaculate and perfectly arranged. We also thoroughly enjoyed the Premier Lounge, where Jabeer and his colleagues provided warm, attentive service. The variety and quality of food and drinks were excellent, making it a real highlight of our stay. A special mention must go to Porterhouse restaurant — Binoy and his team delivered a truly spectacular dinner. The food, service, and overall experience were outstanding and memorable. We would highly recommend it and look forward to returning soon.

Perfect stay , well beyond our expectations

We stayed in the two bed apartment , very big , well organized and clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful from the house cleaning staff to the front desk , concierge and bell boy .

We love the Sofitel!!

I just loved the whole vibe. It is an older hotel compared to some of the others but it's so aesthetically pleasing and the staff are just a level above the 5*. I felt so incredibly welcomed by everyone and they could not do enough. Laguna beach is just such a vibe..we would always have a night cap there.

It's such a small detail and really minor but I just didn't like the green carpets and green net curtain. Quite a dated look for our suite. Although it would not put me off coming back. A modern update would really elevate the rooms.

Go somewhere else!

People who worked there seemed very nice and helpful.

Carpets were wet when I checked into the room.my socks became wet while I walked around. Balcony wasn't cleaned properly and for me the worst part was that the hot water RAN OUT mid bath/shower. This was unacceptable for a 5 star hotel. Room temperature water continued for the following hour. When I complained they said they would send a repair man to my room which I opted out of as I was already in pajamas and just wanting to relax. Also there was no shampoo or soaps near bathtub-- given that the ones in the shower are bolted to the wall, this was super inconvenient. My advice: try another hotel on the palm for a similar price to get what you are paying for!

The whole facility was immaculate. The staff were knowledgably and very friendly. They took time to know our names.

There could have been more vegan options at Brunch and breakfast. The check in desk is small and often crowded.

It was a great overall experience. However, for someone paying AED 3,000 for a single night, I would have expected a bit more flexibility with the checkout time. The lady at reception firmly insisted on a 1:00 pm checkout, even though I initially requested 2:00 pm and later just 1:30 pm. That said, it didn’t take away from the overall enjoyment of my stay.

A great mini staycation for the family.

There was alot for everyone to do. From beach, to multiple pools, to kids zone, to the beach club for adults. Multpie restaurants catered to all our tastes. And the staff were kind, helpful and lovely.

1. The day beds ran short around the pool areas as people left without informing and the stuff wasn't cleared. So go early to secure one for yourself and the family. 2. The restaurant service was quite slow at the steakehouse even though the steaks were delicious. But the wait was too long especially with little kids. 3. The rooms in the apartments are very nice and airy but a bit dated. The furniture is comfortable and solid wood. But not the most modern. It needs an overhaul very soon.

Great hotel potential, but the service and management need serious improvement to meet Sofitel stand

The room itself was spacious, modern, and well equipped — typical Sofitel quality. Housekeeping kept everything clean and tidy, and a few staff members such as Raul were genuinely friendly and helpful. The overall architecture and design of the resort are beautiful, and the facilities have great potential if managed properly.

Check-in was disappointing — I booked a junior suite with a sea view but was told I was “upgraded” to a better room, which turned out to be a ground-floor apartment facing a wall and hedge. After intense discussions, I was moved to another room with only a vague sea view. The front desk staff were generally unfriendly and unhelpful, and management was never available despite several requests. Breakfast was mediocre and far below Sofitel standards, and some staff struggled with basic English. Service attitude overall was poor — no smiles, no greetings, no help with luggage at departure. Compared to Sofitel Cairo or Marrakesh, this hotel lacks genuine hospitality and professional management.

Ritvik, the duty manager, efficiently fulfilled his responsibilities by graciously offering to relocate us to a room in the main building, which greatly exceeded our initial accommodations.

The initial apartment we were assigned was in poor condition, outdated, and not well-maintained. When I called the staff to request a room change to a one-bedroom unit due to the inconvenience of sleeping in separate rooms with my children, I was informed that this was the accommodation I had booked.

Wonderful place

A wonderful place for a relaxing vacation. Very peacefully located, with no noisy construction sites or anything similar nearby. Beautiful rooms with an oasis-like atmosphere.

I didn’t like that the pools as well as the beach already close at 6:00 pm. The main pool is open until 8:00 pm, but I would prefer if at least the main pool stayed open until 10:00 pm or even midnight.

Awesome resort hotel city escape staycation!

The hotel property is huge, hidden gem city escape, many pool option for family and young children can enjoy. Rooms are very clean, modern, spacious, bathroom hot tub design luxurious and relaxing.Staff are friendly and professional, premier lounge service and food selection are awesome. We really enjoyed our stay in this resort hotel and highly recommended for family with young children like us.

Our stay in this hotel was excellent. Upon arrival, we got an upgrade to the room, and this was a nice surprise. From the balcony of the room, we had direct access to the garden. Breakfast was excellent with the variety of food selections. We liked everything and enjoyed our stay.
