Beautiful and comfortable home. Beautiful town. Very friendly helpful available staff.

Pros: beautiful large welcoming home with private courtyard and balcony. Windows opened to the streets below and it was fun watching the people pass by. The electricity went out when we were making dinner and the staff was immediately available to help get the electricity back on, even though it was late at night. The staff spoke English. Great location! We enjoyed walking around the picturesque town, and buying groceries. Comfortable beds and lots of space for our family of five. Very friendly helpful available staff. We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home. Cons: After the lights went out, the staff told us the oven was still being worked on. The kitchen could use a few larger pots and pans… we had to cook pasta for our family of five in shifts as there was only 1 small pan. We also recommend a bread knife and a chopping knife. Also, perhaps a scissors. But these are minor things that probably don’t affect most guests.

The location was great and convenient for us to get around the area, including Barolo. The middle of Asti was just a short walk away and the manager was very helpful with check in and suggestions. Great water pressure in the shower.

The beds were a little hard/uncomfortable but otherwise it was good.

A home away from home and at a great price!

We did not expect much but the whole place was so in character - warm, Italian hospitality and comfort! We were charmed from the first minute of arrival till when we left the next morning. The room was big, decorated with beautiful old furniture. It truly is a home away from home. Breakfast the next morning was exceptional - great spread of fresh fruit, all sorts of baked goods, juice, teas and coffees etc. Location was perfect to walk into the old city centre and the also had an indoor / gated parking.

If you are looking for a modern vibe, then this is not the place for you. However, if you want authentic Italian "old" decor and charm, then this is definitely the place to experience it.

It was great. Big apartment with balcony. Breakfast was a big choice, you could eat a typical Italian breakfast as well as ham, cheese or cereals and fruits.

Comfort, hospitality and distinctive regional decoration in an advantageously located spot

Right from our arrival we enjoyed helpful attention from the personable staff in this family-owned guest accommodation on the edge of the historic centre of Asti. We were given helpful recommendations for informal dining in the town, provided with directions on the city map and assisted with parking. The bedrooms and breakfast room are delightfully decorated. Access areas feature a fascinating series of family photographs and there are furniture and knick-knacks collected by the family in the rooms. The breakfast is really special and caters for all tastes - including delicious warm brioche ( thank you, Guido)!

There was construction work underway in the courtyard. This reduced the available parking spaces and also caused loud noise. It could not be helped and was explained by management, who did their best to minimise inconvenience

Querky, different. Loved the decor and attention to detail. So comfortable. Helpful and informative. Nothing was too much trouble . Breakfast was just an incredible and unique experience. What an array of delights. The collections, art, and furniture made our stay memorable.

My room was located on the 2nd floor of a building 100 m away from the reception, with narrow stairs and a heavy suitcase it’s a bit of a gym

A repeat fabulous stay at La Fabbrica dell'Oro

I love everything about La Fabbrica dell'Oro as I have stayed here before. Mauro & Guido are great hosts. The accommodations are always spacious, well kept, attractive, clean & comfortable. The location is perfect, being only a 5 min walk to the center and right on the corners of the B&B are a Despar market, pharmacy & a great cafe. It was fixed up so lovely for Christmas also. They make you feel at home and can't wait to return again!
