Historically significant ryokan (famous Japanese authors) and simply exceptionally warm and accommodating service. Standard Ryokan facilities - a tiny bit dated, but in a charming way. V generous breakfast

Everything you can ask for in a great ryokan! Traditional room with futon on floor gave me a great night sleep. The onsen is small but wonderful after walking all day. And breakfast was delicious! A good mix of Japanese and western offerings. The location is at the top of Old Ginza St which made it easy to explore as you walk down to get to the main part of town and the train station.

Clean and comfortable. Staff were very nice and helpful. Food was pretty good.
Quite funny really, it was like staying in a hotel room in the 1980s! Very dated room, really needs a revamp, particularly given the price! Also there is music in the hallway which runs very late at night.
