Värdshuset Lindgården

We have been to this hotel before and choose it because of the location in Visby, their rooms are towards their beautiful garden with the gin bar, and we find the rooms comfortable and just enough for our needs. We are happy to see that the breakfast is back at Lindgården, but it was not negative at all to go to the other hotels at our previous visits. This year we brought our 2 years old son, he could sleep on his own while we enjoyed the gin bar and kept an eye on him with a wifi monitor inside the room.

The staff gave us what we consider their most quiet room, but the garden and the streets of course makes sounds that can't be entirely blocked if you have a child. It is what it is and he slept like a log. We would however like to see a thick drape in the hallway for privacy and sound absorption since the doors have a small window in them.

Great location, friendly staff. Two waters every day with one sparkling and potato chips.

Drafty doors, rooms looking fatigued need more cheer

This is a lovely property in an excellent location within the medieval town walls in Visby. Well-appointed and decorated - in the room and breakfast and reception areas. Looks like they will have a spacious outdoor courtyard bar area during the summer months. The staff were helpful and friendly.

The shower was extremely small.

We were sent alot of emails with information about late check and general info/ instructions, which was very good as we knew we were probably checking in late. However, we found the directions for getting to the flats very misleading so it took a while to find them (and the key box). But once there it was no problem. The next problem came the next morning, because nowhere in all the emails (or QR code platforms) did it explain where breakfast was served (only when). When googling this, it seemed we were supposed to go to hotel kalk or hotel stand (?). Eventually we found a picture/map on the website where it said where to go, but it was by no means obvious as the picture was part of some slide show and was only visible for a few seconds. Our suggestion is to work on your check-in instructions as a whole and the experience will be better for other people. Bottom line, the stay was ok but not worth what we paid for it.
