Wonderful time in a fantastic apartment!

Excellent location, in the center of Platanias and right on the beach. Apartment was very clean and functional. It has everything you need, and the big terrace was amazing! Air conditioning in both bedrooms worked really well too. The fridge has a small freezer section, which was very great during the hot days, so you can have very cold drinks! Sea view from the shower was also wonderful. We can absolutely see ourselves returning here!

The big bed in the bedroom with the terrace is very creaky as the mattress is on a wooden frame that is probably quite old. It makes a lot of noise everytime you move, so it could be quite bothersome to some people

The stay was excellent and this location really made our vacation as relaxing as possible.

Location is great, host was exceptionally friendly and helpful with all of our queries. Air conditioned room for complete comfort during hot days. Housekeeping service every day ensured absolute cleanliness of both the rooms and fresh beds. Our apartment had a large terrace where you can have dinner or just spend some relaxing time during the evening, or where kids can play and run around.

Although there was a housekeeping service available that cleaned everything daily, we could have used a broom or small vacuum cleaner to tidy up after the kids meals (or excessive sand from the beach). Would be nice to have a minimal set of kids bowls and tableware, for families travelling with small children. Nothing serious to talk about, but just a nice-to-have.

Jenny was extremely friendly and helpful and also super flexible with checkout , thanks for everything!! The location was also perfectly located, 15 seconds from the beach with a nice beach bar right next to it.

Sometimes it was a bit loud in the evening due to the music of the hotels around it. Also, there were lots of kids which where up and loud quite early (the apartment is quite noisy).

Wonderful Ilias apartment

The apartment is wonderful.Beautifully decorated and larger than I expected. The terrace was large with a sea view.Perfectly located in a quiet area but within short walking distance of the centre.Loved that the beach is just a few steps away.Jenny was amazing, really helpful and the welcome bottle of wine in the fridge was appreciated after our late arrival.

The Perfect Stay!

Great terrass, unique welcoming, so clean, next to the beach, A/C in every room, nice beds and bedding. Perfect stay for your Greece stay! Parking next to the place avalible. Also good recomendations for tours/places to visit. Felt like home.

We had a fantastic week at Ilias apartments. The room was cleaned every day, was beautifully decorated and had a peaceful seating area with a partial sea view. We were right on the beach. Jenny, the owner, was very friendly and was always around for a chat or advice. We will definitely return to Ilias apartments when we next come to Platanias.

We booked 2 rooms, no 7 for us, a family of four, room no 5, a one bedroom apartment for our father in law. No 7 was totally amazing with its breathtaking view over the Mediterranean. No 5 looks like it was taken right out of Mamma Mia 😉

Wonderful vacation in a wonderful place!

A very good location, in the center, but still away from the crowds. Jenny was very nice, she helped us with useful tips, taxi from the airport and even to rent a car. Great room, clean and downstairs there was a terrace where we ate very well. Everything was wonderful!

Wonderful stay at Ilias

The Location was fantastic right next to the beach, wonderful sea views and taverna right next to apartments serving traditional and European food snacks and drinks, especially the house rose wine, host Jenny was very helpful, and the decor inside the apartment was lovely kid of rustic beach theme we loved it and will certainly return to Ilias apartments, everything you need is right on your doorstep.

Do not stay at this place!!

We didn't have hot water the first morning we were there. The host tried to find a solution, but we got tired of waiting and booked another place instead. The host said she understood and would refund us, but failed to mention that we had to cancel the reservation on Booking.com. We messaged Booking.com to ask for guidance but did not hear back until days later, when it was too late to cancel the booking on the web site. We've been pressing Booking.com for a refund, with several long phone calls and emails back and forth, explaining the situation, but they have not been helpful. We are pretty upset about this whole situation!!!

Very cosy and comfortable rooms, our apartment had a nice terrace. Good location close to the beach, shops and restaurants. The owner offered us car rental, which was very convenient, and adviced us on interesting destinations.

Fab, beautiful place and people.

Jenny met us with a smile, very late at night. She was always available if we needed her, had a chat on the go when we saw each other but didn't interfere at all. Apartment was amazing (No 6), fabulous view and sound from the sea we were so near it, only 40 steps from the apartments... Irena, our cleaning lady was so efficient and so pleasant. Sometimes I find a lot of people forget to thank the cleaning people, so thank you Irena. Nisos Restaurant beside apartments was lovely, thank you to Dimitri and Nicos for the wonderful service. Stifado was so so good. (Apologies for incorrect spelling of names). Would highly recommend. Ann

Only thing we disliked was that there was a price for the sunbeds unlike most other places we have stayed in on the Greek islands.

Absolutely perfect

We stayed at Jenny's apartment for 10 days. Is "absolutely perfect" enough to describe this place? What a wonderful stay! Jenny is without any doubt the best host I've ever meet or dealt with in my life (and I've traveled quite enough). She is kind, always smiling, ready to satisfy all your requests. She has great tips about local places (restaurants, beaches,etc). A real pleasure to talk to! The apartment went way beyond our expectations: perfectly clean (cleaning services every 3 days), a beautiful terrace that could also protect us from the heavy winds, flowers everywhere, lots of space, another small terrace connecting with the bedroom. Lovely design, all the necessary comforts! Also, it was located in a tourist village but far enough from the noise, so we always slept very well! Last but not least: located directly at 5m from the beach!!

a very great start for the planned trip to Crete

Easy conversation with the host and the location of the venue is great. All was as expected and described, especially the very near reach to the beach was astonishing.

If you are with more people and wish to cook / using the kitchen - you have a bit "too puzzle" as the space isn't that huge, but charming of course :)

10/10, great place for vacation - this is our second year here. In center of platanias, withbtremendous sea view, super fresh (just renovated), clean and soooo comfy place!!!! It has cool design and makes you wanna stay forever. Also host - Jenny is super helpful, recommends you nice beach and helps a lot. Thank you Jenny, see you next time!

Beautiful appartment located right on the beach, with great tarrace. Very good restaurant just down, wonderful and always helpful owner- it is all you can wish for. Platanias is also a very nice resort and great place for exploring the beauty of western Crete.

Our Honeymoon dream

Everything. The apartment is very nicely designed and decorated, clean, spacey - just perfect. Jenny was the nicest person even and helped us with everything. The apartments are only few steps away from the beach and there is amazing beach restaurant Nisos - we had our dinners there almast every evening - eating delicious food, listening to sound of the sea and watching beautiful sunset - can you imagine anything better? Right, me neither. :) And the lovely people made it extra special. Thank you!

Perfect start of the hollidays

The owner is very hospitable, gave us the opportunity to switch to a free appartment with best view and for the same price. The cleaning lady is doing perfect job and the appartment with terrace was just pitch perfect. Next to the beach and restaurant. Highly recommended.
