My recent stay at Hotel Banana City Winterthur was truly memorable. From the moment I arrived, the team demonstrated genuine warmth and attentiveness. The accommodation itself is remarkable — spacious rooms that feel like a luxury upgrade compared to typical hotel standards, maintained to an impeccable standard with meticulous daily attention. The underground parking is a game-changer; after numerous visits over the years, I've never struggled to secure a spot. Access to Fitnesspark Winterthur at no extra charge is a fantastic perk. The proximity to the city centre and railway station is unbeatable — everything you need is within easy reach.

Excellent hotel offering comfort, cleanliness, and friendly hospitality

I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Banana City Winterthur. The staff were exceptionally kind and welcoming, always ready to help with a smile. The room was spacious, very clean, and comfortable — perfect for a relaxing stay. I also appreciated the large underground parking, which made arriving by car very convenient. The complimentary access to Fitnesspark Winterthur was an excellent bonus and a great way to unwind after a busy day. The location is ideal, just a short walk from the city centre and the railway station, making it easy to explore Winterthur.

If there is one suggestion for improvement, it would be to update the in-room TVs. They seem to be older models without smart features or apps like Netflix, which would make the rooms even better.

Good, well equipped hotel nearby main station. Thank you for storing my luggage two nights for free while I was on the hike. Great service! Would you please add / collaborate with bike rental service as Winterthur seems to be cycling friendly city.

Great place to rest and eat well

We stayed here for a recovery day after a long hiking trip. The rooms are big, the beds comfortable and the breakfast is great. The late checkout time is a real help if you need a bit of extra sleep, and the staff were really helpful as well.

Good Hotel in convenient location but could use some improvements.

Quite good hotel. Very clean & conveniently located. Breakfast was very good and personnel at the front desk was very nice and helpful.

- Communication all in German instead of english, causing misunderstandings. For example in their message it said "Parkplätze im Freien sind begrenzt und kostenfrei." so I thought there is limited amount of free parking spaces on a first come first served basis. Actually the free parking spots are limited to 60min for check in only. - To access free WiFi you need to give your phone number on a web page, so they can send you SMS... super strange and unsafe. - To get to the gym and pool you need to get a voucher at the front desk first (every time) and then walk outside which is bit inconvenient when it is raining. - If you are just drinking beer at their bar, bartender will treat you like an air... (focusing attention on clients who are ordering food, champagne etc) We were there 2 consecutive nights, same experience on both days, so we moved to the restaurant in the city.

Great facilities with AC that can handle the heat and daily housekeeping without asking.

I come to the Zurich area quarterly from the US to work with a company in Turbenthal. I usually stay in Zurich and take the train to Turbenthal but this trip I booked in Winterthur which is a little closer. It was 93F in the area this week and the AC worked great. Room size was perfect and they had several English TV channels (not just news). I know most hotels are doing housekeeping on demand but this hotel provided daily housekeeping which I like. Also the hotel rate was better than Zurich rates. I will definitely stay there again the next time I am in the area.

Great hotel in a surprisingly upbeat city.

Great air-conditioned hotel, easily reached from the station. Winterthur itself is upbeat and diverse, with few of the downers of a typical city. Shopping for essentials in the town centre was a pleasure, with shop staff friendly, knowledgeable and helpful.

Nice, clean and safe hotel in Winterthur.

In general, the hotel was nice and comfortable, the staff friendly and helpful and the breakfast very complete. The area is nice and is easy to access from the train station. The shower was particularly nice.

The room was a bit noisy due to the trains passing by just outside the window. I booked the hotel because Booking said that they had a fitness facility. However, as I got to the hotel, I had to pay extra, as fitness was part of another business next door. That was not stated by Booking (that there was an extra fee to use it)
