I keep coming back to Hotel Banana City Winterthur and honestly, why would I ever stop? The staff are absolutely wonderful — warm, friendly, and genuinely happy to see you. It feels less like checking into a hotel and more like visiting old friends! The rooms are ridiculously spacious (seriously, where is all this space coming from?), spotlessly clean, and freshened up every single day without exception.
The underground parking is a dream — I've stayed here more times than I can count and have never, not once, had to circle around looking for a space. The complimentary Fitnesspark Winterthur access is a brilliant touch, and the iron, ironing board and fast Wi-Fi in the room are really appreciated for business stays. The location right near the city centre and railway station is simply unbeatable — everything is on your doorstep!
A small but important observation — in the good old days, the reception welcomed guests with a lovely selection of fresh fruit: bananas, plums, apples, and more. These days it seems only apples remain on duty. Apples are great, don't get me wrong, but a little more variety at the welcome desk would bring back that extra special touch! 🍌🍏🍑

Another wonderful stay at Hotel Banana City Winterthur — a place that never fails to impress. The staff are exceptionally warm and welcoming, going out of their way to ensure every guest feels truly at home. The rooms are generously sized, far exceeding typical hotel standards, and maintained to an impeccable standard with thorough and attentive daily housekeeping.
The practical in-room amenities such as the iron and ironing board, kettle with tea and coffee, and superb Wi-Fi make every stay effortlessly comfortable. The underground parking remains one of the best features — always available and stress-free, even after countless visits over the years. The complimentary access to Fitnesspark Winterthur is a brilliant bonus, and the location just minutes from the city centre and railway station is simply perfect.
A small capsule or pod coffee machine in the room would be a lovely upgrade — but this is truly a minor point in an otherwise flawless experience!

My latest stay at Hotel Banana City Winterthur was as wonderful as always. The hospitality here is truly outstanding—the staff are incredibly kind, attentive, and really know how to make guests feel deeply welcomed and valued right from the start. The rooms are exceptionally spacious and kept impeccably clean with meticulous daily housekeeping. I also really appreciated the practical room amenities, especially having an iron and ironing board ready to use, along with a remarkably fast and reliable Wi-Fi connection.
The location is ideal, being so close to both the city centre and the railway station. As someone who has stayed here dozens of times over the last few years, the large underground parking is a massive plus; it is totally hassle-free, and I can always find a space. Finally, the complimentary access to Fitnesspark Winterthur is a brilliant perk.
While I really appreciate that the room is equipped with a kettle, tea, and coffee, the coffee currently provided is only instant. Adding a small espresso or capsule coffee machine to the rooms would be a fantastic little upgrade to make an already perfect 10/10 stay even better!
