Lovely rooms with beautiful balconies open into jungle style area with stream. Breakfast amazing. Tranquility of hotel was fabulous.

Rooms slightly short of storage space but we managed for three nights. Staff in restaurant area could have been slightly more warm / friendly. Pool slightly small & pool bar unoccupied throughout stay.

Beautiful location, the restaurant and terrace were fabulous and we loved having breakfast with a view. Breakfast was very good. The small balcony area in the room was beautiful and we loved the pool ( where we saw several birds) and the small trails around the property. Reception staff were helpful in getting us to our room and organising a taxi for us.

It would be really helpful to have a rack or storage ledge for cases in the room. We ended up with three out of four bags just on the floor which is fine but not what I would have expected from a 5 star lodge. There was a hanging rack but in the bathroom which was not practical to use for general clothes hanging or storage with 4 of us sharing a room.

The property was easy walking distance to downtown Santa Elena. The rooms were cleaned daily. The breakfast was a la carte which was very good.

I paid £422 (GBP) per night, which in my opinion is a lot of money for a basic room. The room was big but even though I’d told them in advance we were on our honeymoon they put us in a room with two queen beds instead of one king bed as I requested. There was no refrigerator in the room. The swimming pool was small and if you wanted a drink by the pool you had to go back up to the restaurant to order. Although the breakfast was good I wasn’t impressed with the rest of the food and it was very expensive. They made no acknowledgement of our honeymoon.
