Delightful hidden gem in central canguu

Small tidy friendly staff breakfast included, central location to everything in canguu . Great little villa my own pool and comfortable outside area very comfortable bedroom space with air conditioning great value for money

Amazing stay, definitely would stay there again and I love the proximity to all my favourite spots.

Heart of town, small walk to Batu Balong beach, fabulous eating places nearby. Pool is beautiful as well as the delicious onsite restaurant. Staff are very helpful and nothing is too much.

Great, decent size meals too.

The only thing I could recommend is to have a chef there every night. We enjoyed relaxing there at night time and 2 out of the 3 nights the chef wasn’t there. Other than that it was perfect.

Great location, decent stay!

Our first spot in Bali this was a lovely oasis in a great location in Canggu. Room and personal mosquito spray was provided. The pool was nice, the breakfast was tasty and the staff were friendly!

Some extra bugs as to be expected around all the greenery but spray was provided. Smaller amount of breakfast options but still tasty!

Good value in Canggu for short stay

We stayed at The Calm Tree Bungalows for 2 nights as a family of four (2 adults and 2 kids). The location is great — very close to shops and restaurants, so it’s convenient for exploring the area. The pool was lovely with warm water, which we all enjoyed. Breakfast was just okay — nothing special but fine for a short stay. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful, and the cleaning service was decent as well. Overall, it’s a good place for a short stay if you value location and friendly service, but I wouldn’t choose it for a longer holiday due to the dark interior and limited natural light.

The interior of the bungalow was quite dark. There are no real windows, just shutters, so you have to choose between keeping them open (and letting mosquitoes in) or closing them and having very little light. For a couple of nights it was manageable, but for a longer stay it would feel too gloomy. Upstairs had two single beds for the kids, but our girls didn’t feel comfortable sleeping up there because it was so dark, so we all ended up sleeping downstairs. The toilet was okay — nothing to complain about.

No water bottle, they give tap water bottle, no enough room facilities inside , no kettle, no coffee all are extra charge, on the top floor geckos and lots of maskitos , if you have problem with natural life , you will be disappointed with hotel

Good location and lovely pool. The room was simple.

Breakfast was ordinary, coffee was awful. Kitchen was closed at other times due to no staff. The door can be padlocked from the outside but when inside there's no ability to lock which made me feel a little unsure a a solo female traveller.

Peaceful stay at the heart of Canggu

Right at the heart of Canggu, but far enough from any noise. Just perfect if you want to be close to action but still enjoy a peaceful stay. The bungalows are really clean and just add this great exotic vibe. The staff was very kind and always helpful. Definitely recommended!

Lovely villas & pool.

Lovely villas overlooking the pool, there are a few that do not however. Nice patio area also to sit and relax. The room was very nice, and bed comfortable. The shower, toilet and sink are outside so be prepared, we are fine with this but some may not be. Breakfast very nice. Only around a 20 min walk to the beach to watch the sunset, however not the sort of place to go swimming and more a surf type beach, but fun to watch. The pizza place across the road gets very busy so book if plan to go as we could not get in.

There was building work going on right behind out villa, this is fine if you plan to go out all day, however when we got there we wanted to chill so this was not very relaxing, also we were unable to order any sandwich as staff were all out.

Great location, but needs some maintenance done.

Great location, close to restaurants, quiet.

We couldn’t turn the tv volume down, staff tried, while we were out they turned it down, but then it was too quiet. The shower pressure, well, there was no pressure. Staff came and cleared some of these holes in the shower head, which really didn’t do a great deal, and also the hot water ran out within 1-2 mins. A part of the bathroom floor was always wet from the air conditioning. We had a villa with a private pool, for the money we paid I would have expected a lot better.

I had a nIce stay, but it needs some adjustments

It looks amazing, the bungalow and the pool, and I liked the daybed on the balcony. The balcony was much bigger than what I expected it to be from the pictures! Breakfast was very good, lots of choice and the staff was so nice! Good location as well. Just a little noise from nearby music at night, but nothing too disturbing.

The mosquito net was too small for the bed, so I had to tuck it under the matress to close properly. Also no hot water in the shower, big disappointment :(

Cute place to stay, in a good location.

Cute bungalows, just next to the main road in Changgu. Plenty restaurants and shops around. It’s nicely decorated, and outdoor shower is nice. Friendly staff are always there to help. Breakfast is nice too.

comfortable calm vibes in the middle of canggu

The location is fantastic, the staff were friendly and helpful, love the surroundings.

the shower head wasn’t working and we had to shower at night, so that was quite inconvenient. the room and bathroom were not very clean when we arrived as well. there is also a smell that was not very pleasant, not sure if its the diffuser though

Would love to come back

Breakfast was excellent. We took the Family suite for 6. very nature friendly villas. Open cool bathroom. It's nice when it rains equivalently safe. Wonderful pool area. Herbal tea in the morning is a must try. Loved it. Pancakes were also very nice. The nearby laundry facility was really helpful.

Perfect relaxing place in an ideal location

This place exceeded all our expectations and everything was absolutely perfect: very central location in Canggu, kind and helpful staff, delicious coffee and breakfast, and the pool area was perfect to relax. It is a peaceful oasis right in the middle of busy Canggu, with all the buzzing bars and restaurants at your doorstep. I couldn't find a better place to stay, 1000% recommend!

I would 100 percent come back to this place. Amazing breakfasts, rooms and the outdoor bathroom was so dreamy and fun. Absolutely perfect amazing value for money and great friendly staff.

Central but far from the noise

Loved my stay. It was everything the pics say. The room - large and spacious, the bed - comfortable, the bathroom - open and clean, the porch with the sofabeds - perfect for a lie-in on a rainy day. The property is located down a lane just off Batu Bolong which is central Canggu and always busy, but that didn't seem like the case while at the property. It's quiet and serene and feels like miles away from the noise of busy Canggu. Loved my stay here. Will definitely stay again.

A hidden gem; an oasis of calm in the midst of lively Changgu. From the moment we walked into the garden, we felt at ease. The garden, the pool, the beautiful bungalow. Equipped with every luxury and at the same time it feels authentically Balinese. We enjoyed the breakfast; plenty of choice of breakfast meals prepared with fresh ingredients. The staff are very chill and friendly. We felt very much at ease here, at home.
