Perfect little hidden getaway close to Bristol

Beautiful spring bulbs everywhere, very welcoming entrance, staff all friendly and polite and welcoming. Amazing bathroom with amazing bath! Proper coffee in the bedrooms with cafetière… well thought out…

Couldn’t get the Nespresso machine to work properly but the cafetière coffee was gorgeous!

Loved the property so much. Very calm and serene surroundings. Very friendly staff. I actually unknowingly broke an ash tray, they did not charge me or make me feel bad about it. The views from my room were amazing. The room was already heated by the time we were in. The room was spotless clean and smelled very welcoming. The washroom was an added bonus, felt like it was the washroom of my dreams.The balcony was wonderful as well, best room I have stayed in UK,

A wonderful stay in a beautiful hotel.

Everything! We stay in hotels regularly and prefer period buildings rather than premier inn type places. Berwick Lodge is now at the top of our favourites list. Friendly helpful staff, clean, luxurious, cosy and good food. Perfect!

Lovely place to stay for work or pleasure

Friendly helpful staff, ideal location for work trip, unfortunately arriving late and early start so no time to eat but have stayed on few occasions and food has always been great. Although a G&T was enjoyed very much. Plenty of space to park near entrance. Will stay again.

Lovely stay

Lovely decorated room, staff very friendly and welcoming. Great location for what we needed.Lovely little touch of classical radio playing as we entered the room. Our room was next to the lift but we had little noise from this. Hubby loved the bath.

Beautiful lodge, fabulous getaway

Great customer service and room was phenomenal. We booked the Troya. Super clean, great bathroom, super spacious and really had the wow factor! The grounds were pleasant and lots of spaces within the lodge to sit and spend time in.

The cost of food and beverages were definitely on the pricier side. Our room rate didn’t include breakfast and was then an extra £20 a head on top. The food itself was delicious and beautifully cooked, but be aware that extras like coffees (such as latte/flat white and soft drinks were then additional.

I never knew this hotel was there in Bristol. I thoroughly recommend it for a special location.

A surprising patch of countryside within a busy city environment. The experience was one of a rural country house with happy staff that added to the relaxation.

The logistics of the site required a short walk outside to the room, but it felt idyllic.

Very cosy and quirky hotel in a peaceful and bucholic location.

Location was amazing, almost like we were in the Himalayas, a very spiritual feel. The gardens had very quirky Victorian garden ornaments and were very romantic. It would be an unforgettable wedding venue. The bedroom was huge fun with sn extremely comfortable bed and the bathroom stupendous. Breakfast was well cooked.

There was a musty smell in the bedroom. The bedside lamp couldnt be moved to the right spot for reading. Some of the furniture was a bit strange.

Lovely Hotel near to Bristol

Very friendly and attentive staff. Hotel was very clean and our room was lovely and had a lovely bathroom. Tea and coffee station was well stocked with an excellent selection for all tastes.

We like to sleep with window open but we could hear the motorway nearby which at times was quite noisy.

Great hotel, we would stay again.

Very comfy room, rural feel and we saw deer, nice gardens with a swing we enjoyed!

There was no space to sit except the room. This was fine but usually when staying in a hotel it’s nice to sit in reception or in the bar and have a drink. There was a lounge which was booked for private use and 2 seats near reception by a nice looking fire which were occupied (by the same other guests who sat there with a work laptop) the whole evening. I would have really liked to buy a cocktail from the bar and sit and chill but not possible the evening we stayed. We watched TV in the room instead.

Exquisitely lovely

Comfortable bed, clean and airy. You locate the mews via a metal spiral staircase, I was a bit tittery cos of my knee problem. It’s a lovely location and everything was just lovely.

Everything was excellent. The hotel, the size of the room, the staff who have brilliant customer service and who appear to be very happy working together as a team to make your stay special. The food is obviously prepared with considerable thought.

Exceptional find

A beautiful setting and the building is wonderful. All the staff were exceptional,they couldn't have been any better. We really enjoyed our evening meal and the atmosphere was both intimate and cosy.
