The overwater villa was great. Getting from the villa straight into the lovely warm water was something special. The food options are great. Huge breakfast, nothing was missing. Four different restaurant options each night. I enjoyed our happy hours at the overwater bar. All staff were incredible. Super lovely and fun. I also went diving which was a great experience. Hassan, the dive instructor and my dive buddy was great. Best pre-diving brief I can remember. And the dive itself was also one of the best ones I have done for a long time. All in all we had a fantastic time.
Unfortunately the undistracted view from the past is gone. There is a huge construction on the east side of the island. The pictures don't show that. It's not a big deal but a surprise and a bit misleading looking at the online photos. We took a sunrise hut as the view was better. I know it is tricky for the resort to show the real view. But it is still worth going as everything else is really great.

It is a beautiful property. Really conveniently located - just 20 mins from Male. The team were great, the room was clean. They were very responsive to requests or questions.
The vibe was very relaxed and the drinks free flowing! The house reef is gorgeous and although it doesn't look like much at the bottom of the steps from the over water bungalow... a short swim out and it's amazing! The abundance of fish and wildlife was incredible! We were sad to see rubbish in the sea in our first morning but the team do go out to clean it up.
The food is excellent although it's simple it is tasty and the buffet is wonderful and fresh.
There is an app which is helpful but it's clunky and everything feels over reliant on it but the team were happy to help otherwise.
The only thing which isn't on the photos is the industrial nature of Male and the ongoing construction nearby. Not the fault of the hotel but it's worth knowing because it does impact fist impressions somewhat. There is an island being built behind but you can't hear anything and from the front you can see the industry side of things which isn't nice to look at but the island vibe isn't dramatically impacted.
We've fed this all back to the hotel on their survey and there were very quick to come back and address our concerns.

The staff are fantastic, attentive and friendly- Mama in the buffet is the egg master and the Italian restaurant on site was pretty good for the middle of the ocean.
The overwater delux villas were clean and comfortable and the price for an overwater villa was reasonable by comparison to other resorts.
Adults only so was peaceful, quiet and calm.
The Thai spa was a pleasant surprise- the ladies there are well trained, professionals with great technique. That was definitely a highlight and we took advantage of the discount $89 including taxes down from $192 which made it very worthwhile compared to their other experiences, and treatments.
Swimming with the nurse sharks was the ideal experience as you see both sharks & stingrays- so don’t waste your money and time doing all of them. The boat staff were some of the best.
The location is extremely close to Male & the rubbish island is closest neighbour other than the islands being man-made destroying the sunset view.
There were sooo many huge ships due to being in the harbour so literally no views of island paradise without all the ships in every direction- things the resort can’t change but if I knew before booking we definitely would of chosen elsewhere.
We booked all inclusive, but everything we wanted like fresh juice or SUP board hire incurred extra charges. Literally $11usd for a coconut. So we personally should have gone half board as the drinks were all sugary and nasty. Lastly the cost of excursions and massage are just insane $200usd on average after tax per person… tip- if you don’t prebook they offer discounts the day before to save a little money.
Also annoying things:
1. We had to do a swim test to be allowed snorkels- ridiculous
2. No swimming off your villa after 6pm
3. Life vests- unnecessary
4. All inclusive didn’t include room service
5. Viu bar didn’t have bar food- again not included
6. You had to book everything- taking the relaxation and spontaneity out of everything.
7. Arabic restaurant was limited to 1x starter & main per person… when these foods are more to share with lots of little plates.
Overall we just wouldn’t come back to Maldives due to the cost, limited access to fresh food and ruined nature by all the ships and island creating.

The bar staff were friendly
The whole property is dated needs updated furniture and our hot tub outer wear was damaged
The room was clean when we checked in but there was still rubbish in the hot tub from the previous guests
The golf buggies were always a long wait
The food is not the best for the price of the hotel
There are no towels at the pool
