I really enjoyed my stay. The resort is conveniently close to the airport, and my villa was comfortable, well maintained, with modern and lovely furniture. The sea around my villa was absolutely beautiful, I could see plenty of fish and even turtles without having to go far. I also loved the peaceful adults-only atmosphere. There is a good variety of restaurants; I tried all of them except Suan Bua, and Al Khaimah was definitely my favourite. The resort app was very useful for restaurant reservations, contacting the front desk, checking activities and ordering room service. I also had a wonderful spa experience. A special thank you to the team for accommodating my request to change villas, I really appreciated it.

Check-in took longer than expected, and I had to wait quite a while to receive my room key. The towels could also use replacing, as they felt a little worn. The villas are positioned quite close to one another, so privacy can be limited, particularly for guests who prefer more privacy. Although the resort is peaceful, it does not offer a feeling of complete isolation, as nearby islands, passing ships and the lights of Malé can be seen, so this is something to consider if you are looking for a completely secluded Maldives experience.

The all-inclusive food and drinks were great. The Oceans buffet restaurant was a lot better than we expected. The staff were all fantastic and did everything they could to make our stay terrific. Including moving our room to a different location. Good gym and relaxing area (Chill Out Zone).

You will need a smart phone. Everything is run via the app. The location. It just wasn't what we were expecting when you picture the Maldives. A sand island on one side from dredging and a container terminal and rubbish dump the other side. Looking north was the only descent view. The snorkeling is poor. I am not sure if the reefs have been bleached or they have had some bad storms, but I was very disappointed with the snorkeling. No swimming before 6AM or after 6PM. The house reef trip is very disappointing. it is just a 5-minute boat ride to the reef on the North of the resort, that you can swim to from a lot of over water villas. There is a rope to stop you getting there, but this feels like a bit of a trap if you are paying for it. A lot of the overwater villas have no shade on the decks.
