La Casa di Linda

A nice and helpful lady who gave us a tip for a great restaurant. The accomodation was clean and close to the highway. There was a well mainted garden and a fantastic breakfast (continental, not only typical italian sweat breakfast).

The location is is in a very quiet spot. It is a hidden gem in a countryside setting. The house is surrounded by very beautiful serene gardens which are immaculately looked after. Really peaceful atmosphere away from the hustle and bustle. The hosts are very friendly people. If you want peace, and you want to connect with nature, then this is the place for you. But make sure that you rent a car. I do not recommend staying there unless you have your own transportation. We drove our car to the nearest station where there is plenty of free parking and took the 20 minute train trip to Venice.

Breakfast was not like what we saw in the pictures. TV is super small and only Italian channels.

The one day we had the breakfast, they made really nice toast. The price of 8€ per person was quite steep, so we only had it the first morning of our stay. The room was a good size and so was the bathroom. The parking lot is very secure, behind a motorized steel gate which you get a remote control for with your room key.

The room was very cold, but they tried to compensate with a very thick duvet, resulting in a very warm body and a cold head. Recipe for a head cold. There was at least a 7 millimeter gap under the door, letting a massive amount of ants into the room several of the days during our stay. The water heater was less than satisfactory, meaning that two people having hot showers consecutively was near-impossible. The flusher on the toilet didn't work properly. The hair dryer in the bathroom was near-lethal. On the first setting, it made a loud rattling sound, but produced no draught. On the higher settings, it gave off a burning smell. We never used it after that first try. The WiFi came and went. There were two access points strong enough in our room, but one gave no internet connection. The other one worked fine, until it just disappeared one day and didn't reappear until later the next day.
