Good breakfast. Great location in Tromso. Friendly and very helpful staff. Grocery store block away with great salad bar - Smarthotel has nice table area to eat take-away food or just relax.
Room is very small - not much room for suitcase.

It was just what I needed for my short stay, it looked exactly like the photos online, it was clean and most importantly I felt safe as a solo traveller. The staff were great and they were accommodating of my needs upon arrival. Very grateful!
No issues at all. I saw complaints that they don’t clean your room everyday but I was fine with this since I was there for just a few nights and they clearly state this too!

Location is less than 10 mins walk to bus station and other pick-up spots for excursions. That is crucial considering that for most activities you are required to be at the meeting point between 5 and 6 am.
They have an environment-friendly policy according to which room will be cleaned every 4 days and you’re expected to take your own waste out. To me that’s just a ridiculous excuse to cut costs, especially considering the extortionate amount of everything (accommodation, activities, restaurants) in Norway, for the quality.
