The family had a lovely relaxing stay, enjoying the local cuisine and exploring the surrounding historical sites. Wonder

The location was excellent. Lovely private garden and very quiet. Just a short walk to the beach, good restaurants and nice town.

There was only one en suite shower, the second only had a bath with hand held shower. If you don’t speak French, checking in can be difficult.

Sea view Beach view Great location. Comfortable bed. Very nice people looking after guests. Mod kitchen. Beautiful exposed beams. Private Courtyard behind building with awnings. Great clothes washer.

Very steep wooden stairs. But solid handrails. Hard on us seniors. Low ceilings around dormers. Induction stove top not working. Madame brought up a very safe hotplate. No AC, but 5 opening skylights and two dormer windows vent well.

What a Great Surprise

Location. Don't judge a book by its cover. When we first pulled up , I thought I had made a mistake. It is a period building, so don't be too hasty and make other arrangements. Super friendly staff, great communication, well equipped apartment, that literally sits across the street from the beach. If you are a WWII buff, one of the Brit landings took place straight across the street on D-Day. It sits at the far right of Sword beach.

A little dated, but the location and value more than make up for it.

we stayed in the small chalet with 2 bedrooms - it was perfect. we had our own private rose garden to eat outside. plenty of local restaurants near by too. perfect location to explore the Normandy beaches!

It was totally unsuitable so we only stayed 1 night.

No one to greet us, owner very difficult to get through to on the phone. There was no one to help with our luggage despite the owner saying someone would be available to help us when we arrived. When initially booking the accommodation there was no mention of this being in an attic or up three flights of stairs until after booking and paying. I sent a couple of messages to the owner to say my husband was 89 and would struggle to use the stairs but got no response. Kitchen bin not empty, no headboards, very flat pillows, shower curtain stained & dirty chopping board in kitchen. Booking was for 2 nights but we only stayed 1 night and then booked into another hotel thereby occurring additional costs.

Comfortable stay in a great location but there were some problems with the accomodation

The location was very scenic and central with good resturant options nearby and good parking outside

The hot water ran out on the first night after one shower, the hosts did not speak any english and there was no reception at the property, the room we booked was different to the one we thought we booked online. Also the fridge was not turned on and something had gone off inside as it could not be opend because of the smell.

Incredible location. Older facility. Very very clean.

The Hostess was a lady, probably in her 50's or 60's. She waited for us to arrive as we had a train run late, missed the rental car location, had to resort to a bus, which didn't come, so finally took an expensive taxi. Google maps was a huge help in this location. Locating a laundomat, the bus stops, and an ATM. The tourism office located down the street, and literally, on the beach, had maps, but wasn't very helpful in finding a bus stop. It turned out that the bus stops were actually on the tourism maps, well marked.

She spoke no English. Didn't seem very happy about waiting around for us to arrive, although we did all we could. We never saw her again. No one around at checkout.

Lovely accommodation in a great location, really enjoyed waking up to the sound of the sea so close.

Lovely room overlooking the sea, very nice bakery about 50 metres away to get fresh bread in the morning, spacious room and a comfortable bed, nice to wake up and listen to the sea so close. Lovely host and a lovely house that was perfectly located for our 4 day visit to the Normandy beaches.

The only issue we encountered was parking, the accommodation says free parking and I thought it meant at the hotel, maybe my fault for not reading it properly, but parking is in a public car park along the road, which gets very busy and you can spend quite a long time trying to find a space, but this would not put me off staying here again.

Lovely old fashioned apartment with a view

Room with a view! Great location in a charming old traditional house. We stayed at the ground floor, but it was quiet during the nights. You have a mini kitchen, everything available if needed. Heating working and bathroom was spacious. Coffee, tea and some apricot jam was available. Mme Daniele was helpful eg. we needed to do some laundry. Washing machine was located in a different building.

Wifi connection was poor, braking all the time. It can be a challenging in finding a parking spot nearby the apartment. Take some time going looking around, there are plenty of options but also plenty of visitors

Mon séjour a été très confortable, avec un contact très rassurant avec mes hôtes.

L'emplacement est idéal, face à la mer, au centre ville. Il m'a été très facile de me garer. L'appartement est joli, bien meublé, j'ai beaucoup aimé. Je venais rendre visite à des amies qui habitent à proximité et je me suis sentie bien et en sécurité.

Nettes Studio mit Meerblick.

Eine gute Unterkunft für einen Kurztrip. Wir hatten das Studio 2 Parterre gelegen. Wir haben alles vorgefunden, was wir brauchten. Das Bad ist sehr schön und geräumig. Die Pantry Küchenzeile ist für kleine und schnelle Gerichte perfekt. Das Bett ist nicht zu hart und nicht zu weich. Das Studio ist ausgelegt, von da Tagestouren zu starten. Die Lage ist dazu perfekt.

Drei Sachen sind uns aufgefallen, die man sicher schnell beheben kann. 1. Warmwasserversorgung zum Abend hin. Nach einer langen Tagestour war am Abend nicht mehr ausreichend Warmwasser zum Duschen vorhanden. 2. WiFi Ist mit unter 2 Mbit nicht mehr zeitgemäß. Für Web Recherche reicht es gerade aus. (Mobilfunknetz ist leider auch keine zuverlässige Alternative) 3. TV Auch hier wäre ein Upgrade vonnöten. Internationale Programme sucht man vergebens. (Wenn man mal wetterbedingt TV schauen möchte)

Emplacement idéal et historique

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour de deux semaines dans cette location idéalement située, avec une vue magnifique sur la mer et sur le monument commémoratif de Sword Beach. L’accueil de l’intendance a été chaleureux et attentionné, ce qui a rendu notre arrivée très agréable. La chambre, décorée avec goût dans un esprit d’époque et très chaleureuse, est spacieuse et parfaitement équipée avec tout le nécessaire pour un séjour confortable. Un vrai plus : nous n’avons eu à nous soucier de rien côté ménage ! Les draps sont changés après une semaine et le ménage final est pris en charge, ce qui permet de profiter pleinement des vacances en toute sérénité.

Seul petit point à améliorer : l’insonorisation entre les étages, parfois un peu légère. Nous recommandons malgré tout vivement cette adresse !

PARFAIT

L'accueil est parfait et le personnel est d’une gentillesse et d’une grande bienveillance. L’emplacement est face à la mer et tout est à proximité ( boulangerie et autres petits commerces, un Carrefour city à 5mn à pieds "350m", plusieurs restaurants "avec une préférence pour LA VILLA DU LUC". L'appartement et les parties commune sont très propres. Il y a tout l'équipement qu'il faut ( lave-linge, micro-onde, four, grille-pain, bouilloir, machine à café, assiettes, tasses, couverts,etc...). Il y a une arrière cour avec des tansats pour vous détendre et prendre le soleil au calme. C’est un endroit très reposant.

Locatie is top, aan het strand . Verder een knus appartement , maar alles aanwezig.

Communicatie met host verliep moeizaam, dit deels door taak. Maar o.i. ook omdat ze de planning niet helder had.

Très bon séjour, adresse à retenir et à recommander

La situation du gîte, proche de la mer (on a que la route à traverser), et de tous commerces (alimentaires, restaurants, boulangerie, boucherie...), inutile de prendre la voiture : tout se fait à pied ! Comme c'est agréable de manger dans la cour à l'abri des regards, sous le grand store, tables, fauteuils, transat mis à disposition pour tous les locataires. Pour les enfants (ou pour les animaux) : pas de problème : ils peuvent jouer dans un jardin sécurisé, fermé si les parents le désirent. Bravo aux propriétaires d'avoir pensé à cela ! Merci Mme Danielle (l'employée responsable des locations) d'être présente et accueillante, toutes nos félicitations pour votre travail !
