Tingala Lodge - Bed in the Bush

Small, quiet and very nice facility in the middle of nature. Waking up by the sound of birds every morning and starting the day with very good breakfast. . Enjoying the stars by a log fire.

Not an issue for us but driving a 4x4 vehicle is useful for the final 2.5 kms to reach the facility

Excellent quiet location well away from the town and adjacent to bush with a few animals and lots of birds visiting. We were warned about damage done to the access road by the rain in January but, as advised, it was passable with care in our hired Corolla Crossover. The room was very good with lots of space. Breakfast was excellent.

The waste bin had not been emptied. My wife was kept awake by the noise of car doors been opened & shut and a vehicle moving in the early hours. It appeared to be caused by our only nearby guest since their car had moved by morning.

The place was so peaceful and the location is very good .

We used a terrible road on arrival after we missed a turn, they can improve the facility by placing visible signs inside the property especially at night

Peter was the staff member who assisted us and he was excellent both on arrival and on departure.

The overall appearance did not match the photographs on the booking system, the overall impression was the property was a bit run down. I requested twin beds and received a double bed as nobody read my initial email and our access to our room was delayed by the bed change. The breakfast of eggs, bacon and small tomato was not value for money and I expected more for a paid breakfast. The garden was full of heap up leaves, either leave the leaves where they fall or remove completely. The pool was under renovation and there was no notification of that, the day was very hot and I was looking forward to a cooling swim.
