Good place for a layover

Close to the city and the highway. The room was brand new and really clean. Parking behind the gate. Fast car chargers. Friendly guy at the reception.

Great for a stop overnight. On reflection I bit too basic for a young family travelling.

The breakfast was amazing! Staff were friendly.

It was unclear whether we had a cot available to us. I requested it and received a reply stating it had been requested and nothing more. On arrival I was told it was subject to availability. This was not clear when booking. We went to the room and there wasn't one. We were gutted after a long day travelling and an unexpected car breakdown with two young children. Thankfully 10 mins or so later the kind man at the reception returned to our room with a cot. I think this needs to be made clearer on booking as we would have been pretty stuck and wouldn't have booked if we'd known there was a risk we wouldn't get one. In hindsight a room with more facilities like a kettle and fan (it was 36+ degrees in the room) would have been preferable with kids. The water dispenser was also not working in the reception. The lights were also pretty bright in the room so not very sleepy baby friendly. It was a shame we'd had a rough day which totally wasn't the hotels fault of course but these little stresses felt bigger at the time. For this reason I wouldn't recommend it for a young family. If it was just myself and my husband it was perfect for a stop over.

For late arrivals the entrance of the parking is not mentioned in any clear way and there is no bell or whatever for car drivers. I was lucky to randomly met a guy who stayed at the hotel and could indicate the entrance to me and ask the receptionist to open the gate

Staff were very nice and helpful. Bed a bit hard for my arthritic body, I normally like a much softer mattress.Breakfast was ok, a bit of fuel for my onward journey.

We arrived late in the evening, tired. The parking lot was full and there was no-one at the reception. When we finally gut up to our room we found it uncleaned. the wet towels of the previous occupants on the floor. The bed with stains. Went down to the reception again, there was no other room available. We didn't get offered any compensation. We had to ask the receptionist for clean sheets and towels, because he didn't even offer this by himself. We made our own beds and made the best of it but never again..

Dog allowed in hotel, but strange enough not in hotel’s restaurant. We were told this when seated and having breakfast that our Maltese was not welcome, so we cut our breakfast short, though we paid for it upfront. Strange to prefer dog to stay in an unfamiliar room rather than have him with his family. Not a dealbreaker for us, as long as the weather is good and we can eat outside, but not a nice feeling.

Reasonable price but basic facilities

Room was clean and easy access for a disabled person. Bed was fairly comfortable.

Shower facilities were poor. The need to keep pushing the shower button to keep the water on was awful and difficult for anyone, let alone a disabled person. No toilet seat - it was like a public toilet. Could do with a couple more pillows for comfort. Breakfast was very limited and pastries were poor.

Close to local chain restaurants so evening meal not an issue.

Beds were like concrete slabs. Not enough hot water to go round the hotel, got up at 8 and it was just warm enough to remain in but getting colder during the shower. There's a nightclub somewhere near the rear of the hotel so you can't keep your window open if you want to get to sleep. Goes on well after 1am on a Friday night.

I wouldn’t stay there again

Room was small and it wasn’t clean. Bathroom had a bad smell and wasn’t clean either.

Re the breakfast which I paid for, I was told on arrival that breakfast was from 0600 until 1030am. On arrival at reception at 6am I was told that breakfast was from 7am. As I was travelling to Calais I left without having the breakfast.
