A charming, historic hotel in an excellent location, near the sea in Massa. The place has an agreeable patina of age, and even a car park in the lovely rear garden. The room was spacious, the bed and linens were very good. Best of all was the amazing breakfast, better than any hotel breakfast I've every had.

I had a great room with a view on the sea and the beach. Good AC in the room and super kind and helpful staff whenever I needed.
It was not easy for me to climb 3 floor stairs, but it was worth the view.

The location was great and the staff was excellent.
However, there was basically no privacy in the rooms.
Since it’s an old building, the doors are old too, and you can hear everything happening in the neighboring rooms.
The cleaning staff made a lot of noise at 7 in the morning, which seriously affected sleep quality.
There were also some annoying alarm beeping lights in the room, so you definitely need a sleep mask on top of earplugs.
If you are OK with that, it's an hotel where you can stay.
