'PapaBears' Beautiful Mountain Home: Pool-Hot Tubs-Clubhouse--Views- Wi Fi

We stayed for 10 days as a break from the Arizona summer heat. Papa Bear’s on a quiet residential street and is a clean, comfortable, lived in 3 bedroom, 3 bath townhouse that is generously stocked with everything you need — spices, condiments, detergents, paper towels and napkins, toiletries, SNACK BASKET, games, puzzles. The garage was handy to store our e-bikes. We loved the location which is walking distance to Main Street Frisco, the elementary school playground, hiking and biking trails.

PapaBears was the perfect getaway for our family. The layout of the home allowed for our son and friend to have the lower level to themselves to hang out at night. The home is situated in a quiet community with nice views. It is close to Frisco and less than 15 minutes from great ski areas. The kitchen is well-stocked. Our bed was comfortable and there was good water pressure. Don was very quick to respond and take action when there was an issue with the heating system. I would stay at PapaBears condo again.

We enjoyed the short drive to Copper Mountain and the proximity to Dillon and Breckinridge. We used the clubhouse hot tubs multiple times during our stay and made use of the washer and dryer in the unit which was important to us.

Our family of 6 adults stayed a whole week. Everyone fit very comfortably. Very nice, great location. Owners responded immediately when we had questions. Would definitely recommend staying here. Great location!

Property is in a great location and is very clean and comfortable. Bed in the downstairs room should be changed out but was a minor issue. Overall we enjoyed or stay and would stay hear again in the future.

We wanted to be close to the venue we used for our daughter’s wedding. This was the perfect place for us and some family members.

We had an excellent time here. There were enough bedrooms for us to spread out and were able to have a parent living room and a kid living room. We cooked dinners, grilled and were able to walk to downtown for breakfast, playgrounds, and trails. We all had a great time

Beautiful property in the heart of all the popular ski resorts and amazing hiking trails. Surrounded by enormous trees and amazing mountain views, PapaBears' is centrally located. We arrived to a very nice, handwritten welcome note by Don and Carol accompanied by trail mix and chocolate. All instructions for inside the home, amenities and local happenings were posted on the refrigerator. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything needed to cook, just like home. We enjoyed the hot tub at the Club House which was a short drive (walking distance too). It is a great place to stay and enjoy with family and friends. I recommend taking your own pillows and sheets/bed spreads if you can pack it. The pillows weren't soft nor fluffy and the sheets and bedspreads had the smell of old fabric stored away for a long time. The chest of drawers in the bedroom all the way on the top floor is falling apart so I couldn't unpack completely. The bathrooms could use some updating. Also, if you have allergies like I do, beware there are stuffed bears decorating the top floor bedroom, not sure how much or how often they are dusted but I had to make sure to take an antihistamine every day for the sneezing to subside the first day we arrived and keep at bay the rest of our stay. Overall, our experience staying at PapaBears' was awesome!

We were welcomed to this lovely home with a personal note and treats. It was very clean, spacious and all we had hoped for. There are several spices, etc available, and plentiful dishes and cooking implements. I can't say enough good things about PapaBears. Hopefully you like bears if you stay here, because there are many scattered about in the decoration. We enjoyed them! :-)

We stayed at Papa Bear's for a generational family ski trip. It was a fantastic location: close to Frisco Adventure Park, Copper skiing, and Nordic skiing. The grandchildren had a great time in the clubhouse pool, playing in the snow and sledding at the Park. Thanks for being such wonderful hosts!

We had a great trip. The location is very convenient to town and near by ski hills

The home is what we were looking for in our price range. However all of the windows leaked cold air. Several of the plug covers are very loose and the outlets were loose as well.

Clean property, great value, near several major ski areas. We used this as our base camp and could not have been more pleased. The hot tubs are central to the development, so you’ll most likely end up swapping ski stories with others from the area and get some great intel for planning your next day. Rooms were clean and the kitchen was stocked with everything you’d need. Would return.

Clean, charmingly decorated, conveniently located, would recommend to anyone! Cooked frequently, kitchen was well supplied.

there was no pool as advertise we had to drive and there was no instructions to do with the trash.

This was an ideal place to stay 3 very separate areas for families!

Perfect for our family to stay a month in Frisco. Skied Copper Mountain and was super convenient. It was nice to have a garage for all of our gear. Having the extra living space was great too for our two teens.

My wife and son spent thanksgiving week at this house. It’s a big and comfortable place with a backyard that has a small hill my son could sled on. Kitchen is well stocked. Internet is fast. It’s a quiet neighborhood in Frisco within walking distance of a couple bike paths and trails. I highly recommend it.

The stay was perfect. There was way more than what we expected. It really met our expectations above and beyond. There were 5 of us and we were all comfortably situated. There is lots to do in Colorado and we will def be going back. <3 Thank you mama and papa bear

We loved our stay at Papa Bears. It was lovely! The house is very family friendly and has a spot for everyone to spread out. The home is a brief walk from Frisco playground (if you can find the hidden walking path short cut). It was wonderful to have a garage to put our six family bicycles inside of each night. The home is well equipped with board games, pancake skillet and towels. We will stay again at this home.

Lots of space. Had a family of 4 +1 extra person. Plenty of space. Great location for skiing on the EPIC pass. Clean property. Everything worked. Getting a little on the outdated end, but again we were comfortable, clean, warm and safe! Great for the price point! Family is hooked on skiing/riding now!

Lovely home, enjoyed it very much

Five levels that make it very easy to sleep in a quiet place. No bedroom is directly over the other. Kitchen is a bit small but has everything you'll need to cook a meal and serve 7. We cooked everything from Pasta to Ribeyes. We made every day's breakfast to order on the electric griddle. The garage is outstanding for storing skis. You can walk in from being in the snow without tracking up the house. They also have plenty of shovels for keeping ahead of a snow storm. The plow service took care of the rest. (We got about 6 inches) A full washer and dryer are ideal for ensuring a great week while only bringing a couple days of clothes. Each sleeping area has its own full bathroom. This provides some nice separation between kids and adults at night. It's quiet nestled back on a loop. away from traffic. It's on a level lot so no worries about steep driveways or sketchy roads. Breck is a horror show to get to daily to ski if you're not staying on the mountain. That makes this property roughly equal to all others in the area for the purpose. We parked early each day in the F-lot or Gondola parking. You're only a couple blocks from the neighborhood amenity center. Our kids had a blast swimming and playing raquetball. In the back yard is a small hill ideal for youngsters to sled on. They have a number of sleds in the garage to use (thanks!) A couple miles away towards Breck is a city park with an amazing sled hill. Our teens spent nearly 3 hours there on our last day getting up to all sorts of shenanigans. There is also a pay-for tubing area (meh), and Nordic center. The free hill was simply too much fun for the rest to matter. These are not complaints (we have none). These are observations to help you select a place * The lowest level has a bunk and double and pull out couch. The bunk was a bit too small for my 14 and 18 yr old. It would be perfect for kids under 12. * There are tons of knick knacks about. If you have little kids who like to touch all-the-things, be ready to move things up and out of the way. * If you like a firm pillow, bring your own. There were no extras. One of our friends found it uncomfortable. * A lot of stairs due to the split level layout. Keep this in mind if your kids are itty bitty still. # Around Town * I had amazing service on my skis and a boot from Jimbo at Montana Precision Ski and Golf * The Meatball sub at Spinellis is off the hook! * You need reservations at Greco's

The unit presents exactly as advertised. This is an older unit that is perfectly maintained. The location is perfect for all Summit County activities.

I just wrote to Don and Carol to tell them what a great time we had. I stayed with 4 friends I have known for 25+ years. We were so blessed to be able to ski together and talk about the old times while staying here at Don and Carol's wonderful condo. 5 beds plus a few couches and a pull out. A large dining room table. Comfortable for everyone and we all were able to have private space or uncrowded community space. I think we could have sat 8 at the table if I recall correctly. The pictures on this site should be updated as the condo is much more appealing in person and not as dated as some pics suggest. Not one person of the five of us could find anything to complain about and we were all happy with the accommodations. We were easily able to cook meals with the full kitchen and keeping a car in the garage is a great benefit in single digit weather. The plow came by a few times and removed snow from the drive. Another benefit was being only a few blocks from downtown Frisco and the great dining on Frisco's main street. I could go on but I can promise if you stay here you will not be disappointed. Great place. Thanks to both of you.
