Potala Guest House is a great find. It’s in Thamel and close to all shops. It’s a real hotel, but you have to pay a little bit more over basic to get a good room. The restaurant is really good and food is delicious. Staff is friendly and helpful.
Rooms on the street side are noisy.

The room which was shown was completely different than the picture so we had to upgrade the room with extra charges
