The Awan Villas Seminyak

The location was great for exploring Seminyak and the staff were amazing. The villa itself was exactly like the pictures.

It wasn't perfect but it was perfect for us. Anything that was an issue was fixed quickly so we would have to be really nitpicking to find many faults at all.

The pool, room and living area are huge. Staff are excellent and ensure everything is kept to standard. We did have some issues but were fixed quickly once staff understood the issue.

Nothing this is a great villa would recommend.

Very Easy check-in and was able to check-in a bit early which was appreciated, staff pleasant and accomodating. Clean pool, bit cool but ok (it is the cooler time of year in Bali). Good bed and aircon, slept quite well, relatively quiet area although the birds/wildlife thought otherwise at times. Was a two bedroom villa with one room locked as we were a couple booking a one bed so all ok, size of villa fine. Street out the front had several cafes, massage places, wine shop beach end, and Mini marts for everything you need. Beach was at end of street to the right and about 15-20 min walk. Several Warungs for a meal and drink, great sunsets as always in Bali but I am from Darwin (Aus) and they don't get any better than here!!! Good rib place (Hog Wild?)down the street, Warung Ketuk just up and across the road was cheap with great Nasi Goreng and Mie Goreng and cold Bintang.

Villa is in need of much overdue maintenance and upgrading, outdoor lounge and furniture have seen better days. Indoor/Outdoor bathroom shower was terrible, barely had water coming out, unscrewed and flushed with water was then a lot better, just needed to be soaked in vinegar/cleaner as water pressure was fine. The shower temperature was a juggling act, the hot water was nothing short of scorching and needed cold water fine adjustment so beware!!!! Villa garden felt somewhat neglected and underwhelming. Biggest issue would have to be the mosquitoes/midgies, we have stayed in over 20 villas over a period of approximately 25 years visiting Bali in mainly Seminyak and this place would have to be one of the worst, make sure you have spray for your legs and apply about 6pm if back in villa. Staff do come past approximately 6pm with mosquito coils (several nights I had to go and request them as no-one turned up) but honestly coils don't do much.
