Fantastic place best we have stayed in Italy. Run by family and nothing is to much. Also great restaurant with excellent standard of food and large selection of wines.
We had a 3 night stay and San Lazzaro Agarola is great place to stay with direct bus to amalfi every hour.
We looked at other hotel here but la Baita is way above the rest at a better price

We spent two wonderful nights at this property.
Wonderful view of the surroundings, decent room at a reasonable price.
The restaurant garden is truly wonderful and the cuisine is perfect.
Here I ate the best pizza and I can say that I have served pizza in many other locations but this was truly perfect.
The road to the property is very winding, but this is something I knew and assumed in order to have mobility.

The good:
- family owned traditional small agricultural hotel, with birds and dogs, flowers, quality products for food
- nice comfy beds
- the young lady/ owners daughter was very nice with us, especially children, rest of them seemed a bit cold, tired of the on going work to develop and maintain property
- good food - not special, but home made good
The bad:
- quadruple rooms at a price much higher than similar properties (but with pool and breakfast included) at the same distance in time and km from Amalfi beaches- 100% higher costs for 2 nights eg 150 - 211+breakfast (80 euro for 4 persons 2 days) - that’s a scam!
- city tax - did not accept credit card
- poor breakfast for 10 euro per person (they do not include it in room price) - food is good quality but very limited and for a family of 4 they want 40 euro - crazy!
- for a 4 person family room bathroom and had no natural windows that could be opened and shower cabin at 50 cm square - we are rather thin and still hit the glass, how can you manage fat people or kids in that? You cannot without some glass hit and swearing!
The ugly:
- a big minus for the young owner ( probably son of owner) - we ordered a chippo house wine 10-11usd, he said he had one at 15 later in 1 minute telling me it is 20 euro/25 usd. Proceeded with order but when asked why he told 15 in the start, he said he had another sortiment at 15 (from house wine). Basically tried to make a small extra profit for 5-7 dollars a- so low!
