Hotel Shamrock is a true victorian gem. We really enjoyed our stay in the Dame Melba suite. The room was comfortable and really beautiful. It felt like we were stepping back in time. We recommend enjoying a nice dinner on the balcony.

I would say it is a excellent hotel in Bendigo. From one of the historical vintage view it is a exceptional hotel. But still have everything a hotel need to be accomplished. I really enjoyed it during the overnight stay in Bendigo and early mass brief next day make a better day for me.

I checked in on a Sunday afternoon and the lady assigned me room 304 . As you can see in the pictures , room wasn’t updated , musky smell when I entered the room, carpet is old and stained. The bathroom is clean and decent , there is a gap in the front door so you can hear everything , the lift makes a sound everytime someone uses it. The tv in the room wasn’t working and no one could help me on Sunday. I asked for help with Bella on Monday evening and she was amazing , not only she offered to help me out and gave me a room change a , she also The receptionist wasn’t too friendly on Sunday and not helpful. I really appreciate Bella for her help and support to making the rest of my stay so much better once I had the change of room. Stay in level 1 if you like modern fittings!
