I recently stayed at Radisson Blu Amritsar for 3 days. Overall, it was a decent stay, but there are a few things I feel the hotel could improve. Location: The hotel is in a good location if you have your own car, but it is quite far from the main city and the Golden Temple area. Most of the popular places, shopping areas, food joints, Golden Temple, Jallianwala Bagh, etc. are in the city. If you are relying on cabs or local transport, you will end up spending quite a bit of time and money travelling back and forth. Breakfast: The breakfast was good in terms of taste, but I felt the variety and options could be better. Compared with Holiday Inn and Novotel in Amritsar, I found their breakfast spread and choices to be better. Staff: This was a mixed experience. A few team members were genuinely excellent. Lalit from the restaurant deserves a special mention. He was very polite, helpful and had a pleasant attitude throughout. The security team was also wonderful, welcoming and always ready to help. A special mention to Bipin from the security team (apologies if I have got the name slightly wrong). He was very helpful and assisted us with our luggage/concierge-related requirements. However, my interaction with Swati at the front desk was not very pleasant. I found her approach a little rude and felt that the interaction could have been handled more professionally. Service: This is probably the biggest area that needs improvement. The service was quite slow. On several occasions, I had to call multiple times for the same request before getting any response. For a hotel of this category, I expected faster and more responsive service. Overall, the stay was okay, and the good staff members definitely made a positive difference. With better service response times and more consistent guest handling, I believe Radisson Blu Amritsar can offer a much better experience.
