Kanela Studios

Kanela is een Oase in het vrij toeristische Alykes. De eigenaars geven de personal touch en zijn super behulpzaam en vriendelijk. Ik reisde alleen en voelde me super veilig. De kamer was leuk ingericht en de airco werkte heel erg goed terwijl het buiten stikheet was. Een fijn balkonnetje en het keukentje was klein maar alles wat je nodig hebt. Heerlijke douche. Ik heb echt fijn geslapen. Het cafe is ook top - ik heb er ontbeten en avond gegeten, en alle maaltijden waren met zorg bereid, vers en heel lekker. Gezellig beach-vibe ingericht en de bediening was heel erg vriendelijk. Dit is een aanrader, en als ik ooit terugkom op Zakyntos zal ik hier weer verblijven.

Ik ben nu echt met een loep op zoek naar minpunten, maar als ik er 1 zou moeten kiezen was dat ik mijn medegasten in de kamer naast mij kon horen. Gelukkig slaap ik regelmatig met oordoppen dus had ik er als ik die in had geen last van, maar ik kan me voorstellen dat iemand die geen oordoppen kan dragen dat wat minder vind. En misschien lag het specifiek aan mijn kamer?

Perfect location. Lovely calm, quiet vibe. Comfortable. Interesting decor. Very clean. Perfect host. All staff kind and attentive.

No real problems. Extra pillow would have been nice and few essentials in the kitchen eg dish cloth, wash up liquid

Kanela Studios was the perfect break away for us. The decor is handmade by the owners, who have put so much time and energy into making it feel and look very special. It stands out amongst all the other hotels with a really bohemian and earthy vibe. The location is right by Alykes beach, with a walkway going down the side taking you right out by the sea. The bar area downstairs isn’t too noisy at night times with chilled easy listening music on most of the time despite staying open late. They have a lovely team of staff that make you feel welcome at all times. Marios was also on hand to give us recommendations and personalised a tour of the island for us when we hired a car for the day. The room itself was plenty spacious enough for the two of us with a comfortable bed and air conditioning. We didn’t do any cooking but they have facilities there in case you need to. The bathroom is stylish with a great shower for getting the sand and salt off you after a hard day chilling on the beach. We will 100% be returning here again next year.
