The weather was really bad so there was a bit of a draft coming through just think the radiator wasnt big enough to heat room & windows need a little sealing nothing major.

Convenient location, friendly staff, beds were unbelievably comfortable.
Unless you’re nitpicking there’s truly nothing to dislike.

Location is good.
Room 7 has two windows that open out over the alleyway to the side of the property, the view from both windows is just the wall of the neighbouring property. There is a large industrial extractor fan situated at ground level which services the hotels kitchen. On my arrival the two windows were open and the extremely loud extractor fan was in operation. The noise was not good, neither was the smell of cooking oil in the bedroom. I mentioned this to the staff (a remote telephone reception number) who came back to me and did offer a change of room. I had already unpacked all my luggage so did not take up this option. The room was adequate, I did not use any of the other facilities.

The room was comfortable, the TV was alright and the shower was pretty good! It’s close enough to whatever you may need in Douglas - ferry terminal, restaurants, etc.
Initially it was tricky to get in touch with them about the relatively late arrival time due to the ferry. That being said, it all worked out in the end. It’s unstaffed at night, so make sure not to lose your key!

Situated right on the seafront with excellent sea views. Very close to the ferry port easily within walking distance. Every member of staff was friendly and helpful.
Parking, but I guess that’s IOM as a whole.. the daily routine of getting up ready to move your car at 10.00 am and find a long stay parking spot. Will not miss that.

Close to Ferry terminal and public transport on the sea front.
Very clean. We booked a twin room but were upgraded to a suite with two double/king bed.
Plenty of choice at breakfast which was extra (£16).
We had a ground floor room, but there is no lift so may be an issue for rooms on second and third floor if mobility problems.

Breakfast was the usual cereal, bread/toast, fruit & hot breakfast.
Hotel was close to ferry port, promenade was great for walking, water view was a bonus.
Friendly, helpful staff.
Unfortunately during my stay people seemed to gather on the front stairs- talking, arguing 1-2 am.
I had a room directly above the stairs.
If I stayed again I would request a room that didn’t overlook the front door/ stairs.

The hotel is very well located for all the main attractions in Douglas. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. We only had one breakfast but, although a little pricey, it was very good with lots of choice.
Although there was a small wall cupboard with a high shelf and a handful of coat hangers, the bedroom lacked places to store clothing for two people during a stay of six nights so we had to leave a lot in our bags, which got in the way as the room was not very big, although adequately sized otherwise. A few hooks to hang up jackets or coats would be useful along with a drawer unit to store other garments. The bed was comfortable enough but it creaked badly every time one of us moved. There was only one bedside lamp so the side away from the lamp was too dark to make reading comfortable. The rather cramped bathroom was not as clean as it could be with mould and accumulated dirt behind and around the base of the shower door. The worst problem was night-time disturbance from rowdy people in the alley that runs behind the hotel or from other guests talking far too loudly in their rooms. In the first case, one night we actually called the police it was so bad. We had put up with the most terrible yelling and screaming noise from the alley for two hours but the police attended very quickly when called and dispersed the trouble-makers which, from their accents, were visitors from Scotland. One thing about the Isle of Man is that the police will actually deal with people causing a disturbance to ordinary folk.

The hotel is in a great position on the sea front, just a couple of minutes drive from the ferry.
The room was OK and the bed was very comfortable.
Breakfast was good.
Shower was good.
In our room, there was no shelf or anywhere in the bathroom to put all your stuff.
My friend had to unpack and pack 3 times to move rooms (see below) and the final room didn't have a mirror in the bedroom, only in the bathroom but nowhere there to plug in the hairdryer. Also the TV didn't work properly.
The seagulls were so noisy most of the night so it was difficult to sleep!
I had booked two standard rooms but when we arrived they put my friend in a budget room in the attic. Eventually after much complaining they moved her to a nice room on the 1st floor but said she had to move to the attic for the last night. We refused but they said they had a party of elderly people arriving and needed rooms lower down, We are in our 70's ourselves! They did make an effort then to shuffle things and my friend move to a room on the 2nd floor for the last couple of nights. The problem was entirely theirs as I had email confirmation that we had booked and paid for 2 standard rooms.

A very beautiful building on the outside, small rooms with high ceiling on the inside. Practical design, comfortable for a short stay.

We had a room at the front which looked over the sea. It was a beautiful room with a huge bed, settee to watch the tv and comfy chairs to take in the view. The room is called ‘South’ and I would highly recommend it.
The house does have a lot of stairs so please be aware and ask about this when booking.

Breakfast had a very good selection and was quite tasty. Location was in the heart of Douglas close to shops and restaurants
A bit pricey but that may have been the norm for postTT week. Getting to your room was a bit of a twisted maze up narrow stairs and little corridors, but normal for the type of building. Room was noisy

I was contacted by phone , The day I booked. Was asked when I was due to arrive. The owner was waiting at the property when i got of the ferry and gave me a room 2 doors away from reception .. She addressed me by name was courteous and pleased to see me , informed me she had given me a free upgrade to a premier room . The room was spotlessly clean and spacious with all the gizmos and gadgets one needs on a stay away from home.
Floor boards creaked.. It did not bother me as such , but I was worried about nearby guests

It was very clean and comfortable. Had a sea view which had lovely views across the bay - sat there every evening relaxing before going out for dinner - didn’t need to watch tv! Staff were friendly and helpful. Location was excellent. Would definitely go back.
I liked everything about this property.
