Luxe retreat, beautiful staff/food/facilities. Cooking class is a must!

Beautiful staff, incredible 2bed luxe private villa with its own pool & kitchen/outdoor living area. Breakfast was exceptional. Retreat has so many pools, brilliant gym. Needed more time to utilise all that was on offer. The cooking class was coordinated in our own villa kitchen with super friendly chef & sous chef. Meal we cooked was the best we had in Bali & got recipes to take home to try & recreate!

A peaceful stay in a beautiful hotel with SUPERIOR service

A gorgeous, clean and peaceful hotel. The staff were amazing and did everything they could to help us - they even cooked us up a meal after the kitchen had closed, which we were extremely grateful for! They went above and beyond what I would expect. Our room was lovely - clean, big, nicely decorated and it had an amazing view. The food was tasty and we enjoyed our breakfast. I appreciated the efforts they have made to be eco friendly.

We could occasionally hear traffic noise from our room, but it was much quieter than many other hotels in Bali and we slept well. The hotel is a bit out of the centre of town, but we enjoyed being away from the hustle and bustle.

Value for money with excellent service

The resort was very quiet, giving us a very relaxed feel. They upgraded us to a 3 bed villa, which was exceedingly large with a full size pool. It was very convenient to have a full size fridge and water dispenser for our needs. The breakfast and other meals were tastefully presented and tasted great. The Butler service was prompt at all times. The mosquito nets and coils gave us restful nights. Truly a value for money experience

There should be kept more sorting thrash cans kept around the villa.

Location is good! Property itself is beautiful!

It wasn’t clean. I wasn’t happy and actually couldn’t sleep the 1st night. The next morning I got everything cleaned in front of me and had to cover the sofa chair everything with fresh white sheets. Also the breakfast vibe is very stingy. You can order 1 main, 1 tea, 1 juice and 1 more thing like yogurt or fruit or bread. I mean I was actually looking forward to a nice breakfast. Also needs maintenance specially in toilets.

Peace and Bliss

Perfect for the start of a solo adventure from the UK. The room was enormous for me and the spa room adjoining was a wonderful surprise with a bath too. The treatments included with my booking were fantastic! Highly recommend the massage, facial and body scrub. The gym was excellent! I loved the variety of kit and open anytime. The beach is 10 mins walk too for sunrise. Food was great. I'm vegan and they would amend meals for me as was limited choice otherwise. Thoroughly enjoyed breakfast too and the juices. Hopefully will be back again as was so beautiful here and wonderful people.

I really enjoyed our stay especially the pools and rice fields

It was a clean well maintained property, with three good pools, two of which have lovely views of rice fields and the sea in the distance. It is in a very quiet area away from Sanur.

I did not like not having a good view from our room. Our bathroom was also too large and impersonal as it was also used as a massage room. Breakfast was average

Excellent and much recommended

The best resort I had in my Bali trips, much recommended and super facilitates and services. Close to Sanur and far enough to have rest. Rent some wheels and enjoy where you need to go, very central location. Whats app contact with the butler service is impeccable. Excellent food and very nice privacy. The gym is absolute heaven and super equipped. Will be back.

For us as we go to Bali twice a year this resort was by far one of the best

We enjoyed the quiet surroundings, we had 3 big pools and there was never anyone else swimming, the gym is out of this world, the Butler service is perfect, the staff is the best we have ever come across, we could order breakfast the evening before, so there was never any wait, the surroundings with the rice fields are beautiful. As we had free massages included the Spa Lady was tops, very friendly like all of them. We ate at the Restaurant every night and tye food was always good and we never had any problems. This resort will be our go to place for our future Bali visits.

Not worth the price

Quiet place

The hotel is very run down, with facilities that are old and not well maintained. It’s clear that the property is in need of renovation. While the restaurant food was acceptable, it wasn’t memorable and did little to improve the overall experience. We booked a room advertised as suitable for four people, but on arrival found it wasn’t the case. We had to request an additional bed, which was inconvenient and disappointing given the price of the room. Overall, the stay was disappointing. The hotel does not live up to expectations, and unfortunately, it does not provide good value for money.

Spacious resort and pools nice the gym was best on town but air conditioner not always working The staff were great very helpful etc We got a discounted rate via booking. com and it was value for money compared to normal going tariff advertised.

Nice location, but far from amenities, suited to those that want to do little

It’s a nice property with good views over a Rice paddy, room was spacious & shower with dual head was good.

Location, not much to do & the farmers are out early banging to scare birds from the rice. Finish I. The villa was poor & the AC insufficient for its size. Food was mediocre & staff not particularly attentive.

Luxury over looking the rice paddy fields

This hotel is absolutely lovely, we had a pool room with a view over the rice paddy fields. The beds were very comfy and the bathroom was huge. It felt like we had the hotel to our selves as there is only a few rooms. The staff were exceptional and the breakfast was an al a carte menu which had enough choice for everyone. The property is about 20 minutes drive from central Sanur, we had a moped so was not an issue. The gym is also huge and has everything you would want, there are 3 x pools that can be used as well, if you want to do lengths. This place is for people who want luxury and in a quiet location, perfect for relaxation. Would highly recommend and would love to go back

Perfect relaxation retreat!

The staff at the Samata couldn't have done more to make our trip more special. The location is about a 30 min drive from the beach in Sanur in traffic so easy to get a taxi. The hotel is like the perfect oasis to relax and fully unwind. We dis rhe spa and the pricaye BBQ in our villa, both which I would really recommend. You will not go wrong staying here, it is very special!

We had an incredibly relaxing stay at this spacious resort. The daily massages were a true highlight — such a luxury to unwind every day in a peaceful setting. The gym was fantastic, well-equipped and clean, which made it easy to stay active during our trip. Service was consistently amazing — warm, attentive, and always willing to help with anything we needed. The location is also great: you can take a lovely walk through rice terraces or the nearby neighborhood to reach the beach, and there’s a conveniently located mart just around the corner for essentials like water and snacks. Though it’s situated just off the highway (super handy for heading out on day trips around the island), the resort itself is very quiet and serene. Our bed was exceptionally comfortable, and we slept so well each night. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a restful, well-connected base in Bali!

Some of the building finishes needed repairing. Water bottles are small so we ended up getting bottles from the conveniently located mart nearby

We loved it!

Privacy, space, rural view, huge private pool. Amazing helpful staff. Well designed villa, extreme clean . Quiet location. Lovely watching bats of all species and crazy soap opera of sparrows each day. We even saw a Balinese porcupine make its way across the front of our villa. Working rice paddies were spectacular. Good breakfast, every wish granted.

Location a little isolated, but could still book grab cars to where we needed to go. Some room furniture a little aged but given Bali climate that’s understandable! Menu a little limited, again understandable given the resort was very quiet.

Very good place to relax and during your first couple of days in Bali.

Good sized and clean villa, lovely pools and view of the ocean. Staff were very kind but the service was inconsistent. However, Adit really stood out for us and gets 10/10!

Often noisy from the road and temple next door, and there was nowhere to walk safely nearby. the meal portion sizes were also inconsistent (for the same meal).

Not correct description of facilities in Ocean view suite

The view and the size of the balcony. Strong wifi and hot water.staff very kind. The night porter who checked me in at 3am due to a delayed flight was so helpful.

Breakfast was very little portions. You can choose one main and one "dessert". First day I complained so the next days they did serve more toppings on the bun so at least it would cover the entire bun. Because of the portionsglas of Breakfast I didn't eat lunch nor dinner there. Location unfortunately is not near anything. You must take a taxi to restaurants or minimarket. On booking.com it shows picture of bathtub with the suite also in the description of the facilities of the room. But upon arrival to my big disappointment there was no tub and only 3 suites has a tub with ocean view. The Day after I was shown another room not same category but the bathtub looked like it had mold in the corners so I didn't want to move.

Exceptional

Our stay at the Samata was a really enjoyable experience. We loved the grounds and the two pools : a beautiful place to swim in with views of the rice fields. Our ocean view suite was amazing : large and airy with a desk , super comfortable bed , scented toiletries and perfect room service . The food was excellent: breakfast and dinner both delicious with fresh ingredients. The staff were thoughtful and considerate and went out of their way to be helpful : Aditya was exceptional in helping with planning our time there and booking taxis etc. We very much hope to return. Thank you.
