Location was the key to this rather dated hotel. Walking distance to several bars, restaurants and stores and one of the best beaches(Vilas) in the region. Close to SSA airport as well. Breakfast was decent. Check-in and checkout was smooth and courteous. Our room was small, but otherwise comfy for a one night stay. The 'frigobar' and air-conditioning worked well. The double bed mattress was ok.
(Matresees can be an issue in Brazil, too hard at times).
There are other hotels on the Salvador side of the airport. Newer and bigger rooms for the same price.
But then you'll be on the highway and not walkable at all!
