Amazing location , comfortable bed and great shower.

Location was great. Comfortably. Size was good.

Consumables should be sufficient to last the stay. A lamp on both sides of the bed.

The location is superb – lovely area, very central and close to wonderful cafés, restaurants and bars. The apartment is easy walking distance to many landmarks and close to transport links for others. We had excellent communication with the host with questions answered promptly (often instantly). The apartment is well equipped with coffeemaker, microwave, hob, fridge, kettle, hairdryer etc. Windows are double glazed so the apartment is extremely peaceful when these are closed. No air-conditioning but the fan provided adequate cooling at night during the 33C heatwave we had in May. As we were arriving late in the evening, being able to access the apartment via keycode was very convenient.

Firstly, we obviously knew that the apartment was on the 5th floor with no lift but not that it was accessed by a VERY narrow spiral staircase making the steps extremely narrow. I'd recommend only choosing this if travelling with carry-on or very light luggage. Our greatest disappointment was the decor. The photos in the listing we saw when booking Condé Chic 5 were not current – the decor is rather more shabby than chic. Whilst the apartment was very clean with new towels and bed linen, the furnishing is very cheap. Current storage is two basic white wardobes not the chic 'industrial style' hanging rails shown in the photo. The bed was much smaller than it appeared in the photo (husband's feet hung over the end) and had a brown PVC headboard with considerable wear and tear. There was no rug beneath the table and the sofa was saggy and not in the slightest bit comfortable. We met guests of a lower apartment who were delighted with their accommodation so possibly others are better furnished.

The apartment needs an urgent upgrade.
