BREAKFAST WAS EXCELLENY LOCAION VERY GOOD
8 / 10Excellent·Oct 2026
I've stayed here before and find it a convenient location to break the journey from London to Scotland, as well as for visiting the Solway coast. This time my room had a gorgeous view over the distant Nith estuary to Criffel. The restaurant is good and the room is well-equipped and comfortable.
Can't think of anything much, except I'd like more fresh fruit on the breakfast buffet.

Rooms spacious and bed ok.
Bar area poor not relaxing upright chairs. Poor drinks presentation. Tables not wiped crisis on floor. Overall felt like no one cared. Room cold no way to alter temperature. Having to pre-book a slot fur breakfast not great. Breakfast no different to a holiday inn express in terms of continental offering. Have to make your own toast, fruit looked old. Generally not a great experience.
