Fab hotel, worth a visit!

Stopover on way home from Ireland. Impressive driveway up to impressive building. Warm welcome from Manager Aidan, rooms nice, traditional and clean. Food was lovely. Will be back!

Fabulous Hotel

Excellent hotel, maintained to a high standard and all staff were very friendly and attentive. The food was amazing too!

Room was a bit on the chilly side despite heating being on, but there was a plug in mobile radiator which we had to use upon arrival and again early in the morning but it was exceptionally cold outside.

A short but very sweet stay as always.

3rd year in a row we have stayed here, we travel 4 hours for our daughter skating comp and always choose this hotel due to the comfort and cozy feel it has. Beds are so comfy, with great space in each room we have stayed in over the last few years. The food is lovely with a good variety, and the staff are all so welcoming, along with it always having lovely Christmas decs that make it feel from home to home.

Great stay - almost fabulous, except for the chef cheating with the bacon!

The room was well appointed with a good bathroom. The key operated the lights so we did not have to switch everything off when we left the room.

Breakfast could have been a 10, but we can only give an 8 or a 9. We asked for well done bacon. It was almost right - but chef had folded part of the streaky under the loin! So, the bits you could see were crispy - and very, very good, but the streaky under the loin was half-cooked. How to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory! A superb 10/10 breakfast was reduced by a ridiculous cheat that we have seen in other hotels. I imagine chefs fold bacon to be able to cook more rashers quickly - it should be a criminal offence.

The location was very convenient being close to the A75. The staff were great as I had been travelling for hours and the weather was atrocious with flooding. The staff ungraded my room and were very helpful with dinner. The room was beautiful.

We had a wonderful stay. The staff was extremely friendly, the room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, and the breakfast was perfect, with something for every taste. A little slice of heaven!

Reception staff fabulous and so attentive and friendly Room 202 was an utter delight !- room size enormous and furnishings high quality and luxurious. Food in the restaurant was extremely well presented and delicious- staff also very welcoming with impeccable sevice. The grounds of the hotel are extensive and very well maintained. The stay was for rest and relaxation purposes and we achieved this in abundance. We absolutely WILL be back ! Ww have already been recommending to friends and work colleagues 😜👌

I booked four rooms for friends and family as we were attending a nearby wedding. due to the hot weather the rooms were all very warm and although the hotel provided fans, 1 of the rooms was so hot that 1 of the guests had to finish getting dressed in the car park to keep cool.

Perfect stay at a perfect location

The room was absolutely lovely and very spacious. Great beds, lovely bathroom, could have stayed there forever! Breakfast was very good, excellent food also for dinner and very reasonable prices. The bar was fantastic too, again, with absolutely reasonable prices. Staff were very nice too and very welcoming. If we ever happen to be in the area again, we’ll definitely come back!!

Lovely hotel for our overnight stay

Lovely clean hotel in a quiet location. Dinner and breakfast were exceptional. Staff were friendly.

The room was too hot. There was a fan but not powerful enough to make any difference. We left the windows open, but our room was at the back beside a blue workers container, and this was noisy late at night as workers were leaving and arriving in the morning. It didn't ruin our stay but AC in smaller double rooms would improve summer stays.
