Kaamasen Kievari

I cottage sono intimi e funzionali. C’è tutto il necessario anche per cucinare (il market più vicino è a Inari).

Lovely cabin, much bigger and fancier than we thought! It even had its own little sauna. Very good kitchen. The staff at the reception was nice and I enjoyed the atmosphere and the food at the restaurant (and the prices were aligned with my expectations; this is Finland and a relatively remote place at that, and the food was anyway worth the money). They have a little store, too. We got the cabin at a really good price.

The large bed in the only separate bedroom was actually two twin beds pushed together - not sure if this was actually mentioned in the description but regardless, I would've preffered to have a double bed. Numbers on the cabins were a little hard to see from a car. Blackout curtains in the bed room would've been nice to have.

conveniently located off the main road E-75 leading all the way up to the Arctic Ocean. Smaller and bigger cabins available for couples, families and groups. You can eat dinner and have breakfast at the same location. Beautiful views over the river Kaamasjohka. Staff is nice and hospitable towards all guests, furry ones included.

The cabin where we stayed could be a bit updated. Now it feels like time travel to the 1990s. Also extra charges for linen add up quite a big amount for four people. The breakfast was decent but again, the price of 15 EUR per person seemed a bit excessive and relative to the fact that there are no other options nearby.

We liked the area, the service, and the house itself.

We did not like the fact that the moment that we came inside, there were mosquitoes everywhere. At first, we got rid of the ones inside the house, however later in the evening, more mosquitoes came out of nowhere, even though all doors and windows were closed. We spent almost the entire night trying to get rid of the mosquitoes. At 03:30 we wanted to leave, however in the room where our children slept, there were no mosquitoes because there was a door, while in our bedroom the door was taken out, so we decided stay in the car for the night. Very early in the morning, we woke up the children and left. However, this is not the fault of the personel, perhaps we simply got a house which was in worse condition than others. The personel itself was helpful, friendly and helped us with everything that we needed.
