The stately house is beautifully restored with a lot to look at and the gardens are very nice, and interesting with the Groto and underground museum. The shower was nice. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good. There were some nice walks around the area.
The beds were quite uncomfortable and creaked a lot! Every time we moved in the night, it was accompanied by loud creaking. And the bathroom extractors were quite noisy, so when next door's was somehow left on throughout the day, it was quite disturbing. This was switched off once the people next door returned later than evening.

Great location and good communication from the reception when checking in late.
Requested double room but nothing offered. Breakfast was a big disappointment. No cereals or cooked breakfast available only dry bread rolls and cold meat. Staff were indifferent and non engaging. No one spoke to us despite my partner being Czech or explain what we could do for breakfast and where anything was. Thankfully we have stayed before so knew what to do.
