    When we arrived for check in, we were promised a complimentary breakfast that was included in our stay. We were shown the hot menu items and when we asked when breakfast was served they told us 7:30-9:30. We double checked the breakfast times. My partner and I are not morning people who don’t usually wake up before 10am for breakfast while on holiday, however we made the exception this time considering how much we paid for this room (higher than normal rate for a one night stay at an accomodation). We arrived at the restaurant at 9:08am, and were told that the kitchen was now closed and an average continental breakfast of toast, plain yoghurt, and cold pastries was provided instead. Coffee came out of a service station standard pod machine. It was milky and there was no espresso. We were hoping to hike in the national park and needed more than bread and milk to fill us. We had to go to a local cafe to get the breakfast promised by our accomodation. Additionally each interaction with the staff felt like an attempt to funnel us into their expensive restaurant. When we arrived we were asked multiple times over the course of five minutes what our dinner plans were and where they were. It was the beginning of a pattern of unprofessional behaviour which culminated in our tired and hungry departure as the receptionist mumbled out a faint goodbye through a mouthful of toast.

    This accommodation has an absolutely beautiful view of the Freycinet National Park and the stars at night are some of the most beautiful I’ve ever seen seen! The rooms are very cosy and comfortable, not a whole lot of space but more than enough for a stay. The road to the hotel is a very long one though and it is a dirt road with lots and lots of potholes so make sure you have an SUV to get up there.

    Overall, it was a nice stay at the hotel. The price is a bit on the high side. Breakfast is included in the price, and understandably so as the hotel is quite a drive in from the main road/highway. The staff was friendly and professional.

    Staff are very friendly and nice to chat with. The cabins are extermely small and very basic for the price, not what I expected. You need to travel 5km up the dirt road to get to the cabins! Would have been great if the restaurant offered more than just the chefs menu for dinner, as it gets dark super early and there are a lot of wallaby’s so be careful driving because you will need to go out. More food options would have meant not eating out every night at other venues. The views are pretty from the rooms.
