Action and value for money

Motel was in a good location to treaty grounds, 30 min walk. Easy walk to pier and eateries on the water front. Car parking available, balcony. Beds were comfy and a separate lounge area is always a bonus.

Motel could do with an upgrade. Some of the wooden stairs looked a bit dodgy. Not a huge bedroom, one slim wardrobe and never enough space to put your suitcases.

Shower head is too low, water pressure is too low. There’s no facilities in shower walls for soap,shampoo and etc . There’s no indicator on electrical stoves. A bit noisy like wood expansion and contraction in night

I could feel some of the bed springs. The mattress needed a “topper’. Im fussy. Pillows too hard, but that’s ok I always bring my own. Noisy neighbours kept me awake at 11.30 pm.

Friendly and helpful

The owner went out of her way to help sort out changing rooms as we were staying for 4 nights , under two bookings. The staff were very helpful with whatever was needed. Clean, tidy and very friendly.

Sometimes it sounded as if a herd of elephants were walking around up above us.. Not everyone thinks about how nosie travels.

Location and amenities. Staff was great with regular house keeping and laundry facilities. So close to the beach and wharf with plenty of good food options around.

The bathroom exhaust was working but needs to be replaced/fixed, it was making a funny sound; towel hanger in bathroom was a bit loose but overall the staff was great and the place has everything one needs

Thanks for a great nights sleep

I liked it as it was exceptional value. The rooms were not luxurious but they had all we needed for a one night stay after a long flight and traveling hours. You could see the coast line and it was a short walk for tea. Everyone slept well and were refreshed when we eventually woke.

For the price we were happy and only looked for cleanliness and comfort. No aircondlting but the fans supplied were fine

Quiet, comfortable stay option.

Comfortable, very clean room with separate bedroom, bathroom and lounge area. Close walk to Paihia - Russell ferry. Off road parking. Quiet location as one street back from main street of Paihia.

The room had two entrances, the bedroom had a door and window right next to and above the bed; the lock was only a push button type. I chose to keep the blind down for privacy / security. The complex is two storey and as this room was on the ground floor you do hear people up above when they are up during the night using the toilet.

Toilet seat not well secured. No shelving in shower. Windows/ranchslider condensated floor to ceiling on both days (too cold to open window).

This was my second stay at Bounty Motel, and definitely won't be my last.

I was on a work trip (with some sightseeing thrown in) and stayed for 12 nights in September 2025. The location is perfect, being within walking distance of the village, wharf and most facilities (including a supermarket) and even the Waitangi Treaty grounds. I had a single unit, which was clean and tidy, and had all the facilities I required. The staff were unobtrusive, but still very helpful when I needed assistance.
