Friendly staff and convenient location, needs some improvements

The location was very convenient, close to the main sights and the train station. The staff on site were kind, friendly and always ready to help. Check-in was flexible and both check-in and check-out were quick and easy. There were complimentary tea bags for guests, which was a nice touch. The shared kitchen was clean and had almost everything we needed.

Some issues we experienced during our stay included food we had left in the shared kitchen fridge in the morning disappearing by the afternoon, even though we had followed all instructions and labeled it properly. The shower drain was clogged, so water drained very slowly. The sink needed some repairs, and there were drafts coming in from the window. Also, the bed sheets had some stains when we arrived.

A well equipped and spacious hostel.Good kitchen facilities.Close to rail station, about 200 yards.Ten minutes on foot from centre.All the things you need from a hostel.Ingenious payment and self entry system at front door which worked well.Helpful staff.

Limited reception hours and slam locks on doors, so keep an eye on your door keys.

Passable

Only 1 pillow was a comfortable/normal pillow. 1 was super thin and the other 2 was super big. Not possible with normal pillow covers! For 135€ I would expect it to be abit better then this.

Perfect for one night

Easy to reach from the train station. Family rooms available as well as a communal kitchen. The breakfast is simple but nice enough. Beds were pretty comfy. Terrace outside when the weather is nice.

The room door makes a loud click when you close it. This makes is impossible to visit the bathroom quietly at night. No wall hooks or storage other then a small sidetable. Room next to communal kitchen was noisy in the morning. Some of the pillows were really flat and limp.

Place and service are not worth the price.

The position is very good, close to the city center and other facilities. The area is quiet and in 10 minutes you are in the center and at the arbour.

the quality is low compared to the price. if the price was very low then the structure could have been alright. for the high price the structure is absolutely not good enough. an hostel should have the price of an hostel not the one of an hotel.

Good enough emergency sleepover, safe, clean and warms close to railway station

I did not realize that bed linen was not included as I booked the same day due to delayed trains. I got a message telling me I needed to book bed linens and pay extra, which rang and asked for. I got one pillow case and one bag sheet, no flat bottom sheet, not sure how that was supposed to work. I had to get up early to catch the next train which meant that I could not have breakfast as it started at 7.30 which was too late for me, smelled good though when I left. I was pleased to find somewhere to spend the night so thank you.

The walls are not super thick or isolated so you can easily hear people from adjacent rooms. Price is a bit high for a property such as this.

There was a very problematic guest. From Bosnia, about 40 years old, short hair, very demanding and aggressive. Problematic, even dangerous to hostel and to other guests. Was proud of criminal actions he caused within the hostel. When I told the staff the warning about him the next day she didn't really care

The location - reasonably central to the town of Flensburg. The staff were also pleasant and helpful.

Not particularly good value for money. We had around 14 stopovers on our road trip. We thought that this particular stopover was one of the lowest "value for money" of the many places we stayed in.

Good location for a day.

Close to the train station and 10 minute walk from the centre of Flensburg Pedestrianised areas. Check in was easy and quick as was access to the room and hostel using key fob.

Exceptionally hot room with no air flow even when the window was open. The 4 bed mix dorm is very small which did not help the temperature of the room. Bunk beds moved a lot and there were no higher charging points on the top bunks.
