Hotel Doralba Inn

He quedado gratamente sorprendida de Doralba Inn, el lugar es muy amplio, el desayuno sencillo y cumple, cambia cada dia. Las habitaciones son muy grandes, espaciosas, limpias y agradables, los colchones cómodos y la alberca es un plus digno de disfrutarse. Ideal si viajan con niños. Muy céntrico. Notas: De puertas adentro, el hotel muy bien, solo tener en cuenta que fuera del hotel suele estar abarrotado de personas esperando el transporte público.

It’s a colonial style hotel in a fantastic location in the heart of downtown. It’s definitely a value for money. It’s a no frill hotel and satisfy one for the price paid. Location is fabulous for a small town like Mérida.

This is a two star, budget and family friendly hotel, in the commercial district, on a busy street. My room was clean but very basic. The furniture was well worn, there are no hand towels, water, or bar fridge. There are only two towels and they were very coarse. The bathroom was cramped and very dated, although the shower was hot and had good pressure. The pool area is quite nice and kids will love it. The included breakfast is basic, but tasty, with fresh bread and ok coffee. There’s no selection but a set breakfast menu that servers bring to your table, the breakfast area is clean and there are plenty of tables. The on-site restaurant, Laurentino’s seems to be closed. As this is in a commercial area the streets are busy and choked with traffic during the day. After hours the area is a ghost town, with few dining options. However, the grande plaza is only a three block walk away, and there are more restaurants east and north of this neighbourhood. It’s a short walk to the big Mercado as well. All in all, it’s good value for money but it is a two star budget hotel. Next time I’ll spend more and try a different neighbourhood.
