Hotel Balcón del Cielo

Beautiful location, easily accessible via the funicular (early mornings you have to take the stairs, but quite enjoyed it as well) and spacious, clean rooms with AC and great views over the city.

Would have loved a little fridge.

Free, unlimited and priority access to the funicular. Stunning view from balcony. Clean and spacious room. Delicious breakfast. Friendly staff available 24/7.

Sound proofing can be improved. Our room was right in front of the public terrace and there was a group that came for sunrise and their chatter woke us up from sleep.. also we can hear clearly people talking hallway which also woke us up from sleep. Finally the clock from the church in town rang at 7:30am daily and I guess the whole town would be awoken lol. My advice is to sleep early.

Beautiful view from a high up and a free funicular that quickly gets you into the city center (and back). The room was perfectly clean and quite comfortable (apart from a few details). Bathroom was nice (excellent shower) and WiFi was fast. The price we paid was quite good for what we got.

To access the hotel, there is like a hundred steps that you have to conquer - it was a challenge while carrying our heavy bags. The parking is paid extra and it looks close on the map, but quite far when you consider all the stairs. In the room, the "double" bed was quite small and there was no electric socket by the desk. Shame there was a street light right in front of our balcony (spoiling a night view of the city).

It had really nice views of Guanajuato also Right next to el pipila also. their was a younger guy at the desk he was really helpful with us

breakfast wasn’t that great they didn’t have a designated area it was taken to your room. after 9 we were told the elevators that take you up from the historic center were shut down their was an occasion coming up the long stairs it was still working. it’s a lo walk through allies if you don’t take the elevator
