⸻ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Wonderful, smooth, and memorable stay Our stay at The Bidadari Villas and Spa, Umalas – Seminyak was absolutely wonderful and incredibly smooth from start to finish. We spent 7 nights (24–31 Dec) and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. A special mention to Ngurah, who truly made our vacation stress-free. He was exceptional with all the tours, always punctual, extremely helpful, and ensured seamless pick-up and drop arrangements. His support made exploring Bali so easy and enjoyable. The entire staff deserves appreciation — everyone was warm, friendly, and always ready to help with a smile. The hospitality felt genuine and personal. The spa experience was fantastic, and the floral pool setup was beautiful and relaxing. The romantic dinner was a highlight of our stay — thoughtfully arranged, intimate, and truly memorable. The villas themselves were peaceful, well-maintained, and perfect for a relaxing getaway.

One small suggestion for improvement would be to have more flexible late check-out options, especially since many guests have late-night flights and the airport is quite far. This would make the overall experience even more comfortable.

The hosts were the highlight, everyone was so welcoming and warm and very keen to help. The villa was amazing, for so many days we didn't even leave the villa it was so good. The room service was exceptional. Everything about this villa is perfect.

Could be made more safe with better breakfast

Location and pool were excellent.

The 2 bedroom villa is not great for families with young kids as each bedroom are open to outside. This does not give peace of mind for mum and dad on safety. The pool in the villa does not have balustrades, again not safe for young kids who are not confident swimmers. Breakfast was also dull and always had to choose from the same menu. Ideally for this cost the breakfast should be buffet with more choices.

A relaxing stay just outside the heart of the action

Not only was everyone super lovely at our accommodation but we were in a sweet spot; not too close or too far away from the busiest areas of Canggu. The villa was stunning with an amazing batch of facilities. Breakfast was open for a 3-4 hour period which was great as we were never rushing to eat the meals. They had a variety of breakfast to offer and also had an additional list of meals they could create. We were always greeted with a smile and they always checked in prior to servicing our rooms. The villa comfortably housed 4 guests and it was such a peaceful stay. I'd definitely recommend this place and would happily return there. We were also extended an apology for the renovations gong on however, this had no impact on our stay but the apology was appreciated. We were really thankful to have such a smooth stay arriving in Bali.

The only thing that I would improve on was that the water pressure was quite low in the shower and took a while to warm up. Once it did warm up however, it was very hot. The shower head did have multiple settings which was great it was honestly just the pressure that could become frustrating.

Villa vibe with hotel services. Good location and lovely staff.

Air con is not cold over the night Door to outdoor bathroom isn’t sealed- bugs come in. Mosquito net doesn’t full on close around bed bugs get in. The design is weird only the bedroom is indoor(AC) the living/ dining and bathroom/ toilet all outside. The food is not extravagant but okay Construction is very loud during the day first hammer starts at 7am The terrain is up/down hill with stairs and limited/difficult accessibility from villa to lobby. The bed is hard and pillows not comfortable. Gas empty Hot water takes 5-10 minutes to get warm Bath tub doesn’t fill up.

Enjoyable family stay = great food, staff & location

Staff were fantastic, friendly and very helpful with any requests. They were kind & patient with children and made them feel part of it, speaking directly to the kids. Food was delicious in resort restaurant offering both Indonesian and western menu.. bonus of kid friendly fish & chips, burgers etc. If you want to go out also several restaurants available within short walking distance. Breakfast was really good. We had breakfast included as part of our stay, which allowed us to choose menu item as well as buffet. Breakfast buffet had everything from hot Asian style food or continental, including pastries & fruit. Yubi Spa on-site was lovely, offering range of massage, facial etc. Extra bonus on location; while close to road for restaurants, shops etc but when you are in your villa it is really quiet and cannot hear the noise of traffic. There is also reputable money changer (indoor behind glass + AirCon) and mini mart only 2 min walk from main entrance for all your snacks & basic needs. It is good to see they are continuing to improve with new indo-fusion menu, and refreshing villas. Would be happy to stay again 🙂

Nothing major overall. If you are wanting to self cook at all or have children, it would have been nice to have a few extra basic kitchen facilities available, such tea towels, saucepan, bowls etc. as only plates, cutlery & 1 fry pan with spatula provided. No mini-bar provided. Was not a major issue for us during our stay but would have been nice to have cold drink when we arrived late at night and couldn't be bothered to walk/stop at shop at 1am. As family villa for 4 people an extra lounge chair would have been good as a seating for 3 meant one person either sat on kitchen dining chair or on pool lounger away from rest of family.

Wonderful stay in Canggu

I had a wonderful stay there. Ketut, the manager, was amazing – always kind and attentive, checking every day to make sure I was comfortable. The food was absolutely delicious, and the whole team was incredibly friendly and professional. Highly recommended!

Great peaceful getaway

The staff were super helpful and friendly, the buildings were beautiful, the accommodation was great, and the dinner and breakfast were excellent. They even allowed a later check-out, as I was working next to the pool, which was fantastic. Very peaceful; I loved the quiet sound of frogs while having dinner, as well as the small lizards that wriggled in and out of the plants, looking for bugs, while I worked in the morning. A private pool and great layout for privacy and working. Would suit couples too.

We found this hotel and the reviews were great. Let’s start by saying the setup is very nice. It’s private, quiet, and very peaceful. The staff are very friendly, and requests are attended to quickly. Service was great which we highly appreciate. Location was good with a convenient store, laundry, money exchange, and restaurants within walking distance. It’s away from the busy area which was good for us.

Now to the room and only about the room. Besides the great size of the villa, everything else about the actual room we were extremely disappointed. Everything is falling apart. The bed is the most uncomfortable bed ever and be ready to wake up with back pain. Toilet flush button is falling off, sink drains being blocked. All furniture is super outdated, and the villa needs a massive renovation immediately. Walls have water damage and cracks. The private pool we had was amazing, but unfortunately we could not enjoy it cause the water was freezing so it was useless. No blackout curtains so you’re woken up at sunrise. Sofas in the outdoor living room are old and disgusting. For the price we pay the villas here need a massive upgrade. No value for money because of the room!

Friendly and relaxing stay in Bali!

The staff at the property were super friendly and eager to help with anything needed which was lovely. The villa was spacious and very comfortable for our family of four and the private pool was perfect for a dip anytime of day. There is a small restaurant onsite which has a basic menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The food that we tried was nice and staff were proactive to offer alternatives for vegan/vegetarian. There are some nice restaurants and shops nearby in close proximity which was handy too. The property was quiet and peaceful at all times which was great for relaxing. Overall we really enjoyed our stay.

The villas are a little bit out of the way from central Canggu and while they are easily found for taxis and bikes, you do need to get these to get around, there are no footpaths to walk. Not a huge issue but good to know as you can’t really explore on foot. Also the second bedroom has its own front door and staircase so probably not great for young kids.

Lovely staff :)

The staff were so lovely and helpful and not at all intrusive and made us very welcome on our late arrival and our first trip to Bali. The breakfast supplied was fabulous. (Unfortunately, the cooked items were never very warm, which was a shame as I only ate them when they were, and they were delicious).

Underwhelming and overrated

The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful. We had an issue with our villa when we arrived and they were not able to rectify it within a couple of days, and without issue they moved us to another villa. The aircon worked well too so the temperature was really comfortable. The staff were the best thing about the accommodation. The cooking class was also great! We had a wonderful time!

Unfortunately there were quite a few things which were not ideal. Breakfast, really not great if you don't eat egg. There are no real other options. We had breakfast as a Genius upgrade and this one staff member kept hassling us about having breakfast there, so one day we caved and honestly it's wasn't great. The outdoor shower in our original villa was old, tired and really not great. The shower head sprayed onto the rocks rather than the shower floor and it couldn't be redirected down, which when your a shorter person is not ideal as I had to stand on the loose rocks to be able to wash my hair. Under these rocks was dirt, so defeated the purpose of a shower really. We booked the single room villa and were told on arrival we were in the 2 room villa. When we got there we noticed the pool had algae and mould growing all around the edges and on all the grout. There were lots of missing tiles and overall it was not appealing in any way. We reported this and they came to clean it, however this didn't work. Same thing the next day and so by the 3rd day of not being able to use the pool we asked to move and they accommodated us. The new villa was a family villa. This villa like the other one was tired and in desperate need of a refurbishment but at least the pool wasn't full of algae. This pool still had some missing tiles and the overflow gutters were full of algae and mould. The bathroom was significantly better, but the glass toilet door was just weird. The shower was inside, but still very old and tired. The bed frame was the creakiest frame.ever. any slight movement and it sounded like it was going to break. The mattress was hard and you could feel the springs. The outdoor furniture was in no better condition. The villa was tired and showing the years of wear and tear. It was clear that they were renovating the hotel as some rooms had different doors and there were works going on.

Lovely villa, with lovely staff.

The Bidadari villa was amazing, the staff were all so lovely and friendly and made you feel welcome since the time you arrive to the time you leave. Everything was exceptional and clean and perfect. The perfect getaway for family and couples. Would definitely recommend to family and friends.

Amazing stay!

Everything was perfect. The food was nice, the staff was helpful, everything was clean, the bed was super comfy, the bathroom was beautiful, the location was very close to the center of Canggu. Incredible price per value.

Spacious - could be great seems run down and dilapidated

Breakfast wasn't great, so only went once, pavement/ path was open in many places presenting trip hazards to the room. The spa was closed for serious overhaul and maintenance for the entire stay. And eve before i got there i realised booking.com had expanded my search area criteria, so even though I contacted them within 2minutes of booking when I relaised the error they still wanted to charge me 50% of a 10 night stay. Pretty poor form to be honest. So all in all not the best experience

Villa was beautiful, spacious with kitchen and private pool. Peaceful, perfect for relaxing and private time. Floating breakfast was wonderful experience. Staff was welcoming, responsive and manager regularly interacted and ensured our good experience. Breakfast was good, buffet along with additional 1 ala carte option to pick. Lunch/dinner food menu was reasonably priced. Good restraunts are available nearby

Would be better if resort arrange scooters renting facility. Anyway gobike renting is around the corner.

Superb

The villa is a little old, but they maintain it nicely. They also clean it daily, so no worries about bugs/lizards traces as you can ask them clean in the morning. Food is alright, they change the menu everyday. I should mention though that they have quite a steep stair steps, so maybe pay attention when travelling with toddlers. Staff are super nice, esp Mr Ketut who always greeted us gleefully during our stay

My first trip to Bali

The Villas were very Baliesque. The grounds were beautifully maintained and the room was exceptional. The staff was so helpful & always greeted you as they walked by. You made my first time in Bali wonderful. Koma , our driver, was excellent. He was very patient and did an excellent job getting us to our destinations.

The location was a good distance from everything. I refuse to drive or get on a scooter with this crazy traffic so we had to take a car which gets expensive.
