The room overlooked the alley - there was grub and hair on the edges of the bathroom, the shower tiles really need cleaning properly as had black mouldy patches all over them ( otherwise the shower itself was nice

The Colon is a really pleasant hotel, lovely room , excellent cleaner and outstandin reception staff

I had an excellent stay at the Colon. The only thing I was dissatisfied with the service from the resturant outside as were a little rude and kept waiting for so long for breakfast that moved to the one next door which kept me waiting equaly as long so think they may share a kitchen.

Great hotel in Benidorm Old Town

Great location in the Old Town of Benidorm. Rooms are basic but have everything you need for a couple of nights and are also very clean. Staff both at reception and the cleaners are very friendly and helpful. The food at the restaurant below the hotel was also really good and woild recommend

Room would have benefitted from tea and coffee making facilities. Shower screen not large enough so when having shower the bsthroom floor got very wet

I do think the hotel is a little tired and could do with a paint refresh and updated furniture but that was our preference, there was a bad smell in our bathroom on arrival, however the staff did there best to help resolve this

Great long week end break in a lovely hotel in a fantastic location

Enjoyed our stay staff were lovely Room 303 was fab with a beautiful view of Elche Park and the Sea, sunset was amazing Great shower, towels changed each day and room tidied Breakfast was adequate always something you could eat Value for money I would recommend this hotel and if you want a hotel in the old town it is perfect location

Excellent Hotel in a prime position

The hotel is in a wonderful position. We had a sea view room which was perfect. The staff were excellent, when we arrived the receptionist immediately came down the steps and carried our cases up. The room was spacious with plenty of storage space. Room cleaned and fresh towels every day. The bathroom was spacious with a rainfall shower that had great pressure. Directly underneath the hotel is a great restaurant with lovely staff. Using the restaurant you are given a 10% discount. We would definitely stay here again.

There are only two things that while they didn't impact on our enjoyment could be looked at. The bathroom definitely needs a bit of refurbishment. There was quite a bit of mould along the bottom of the shower screen and the grouting in the tiles. There is no safe in the rooms, safety deposit boxes are in the hall and we didn't feel comfortable leaving our money and passports out of the room.

Hotel with sea view in the Benidorm centre.

Check-in was polite and fast, provided room was located on the fifth floor, as requested, with a sea view. Breakfast was quite nice. The old town and the beach are within walking distance.

The time for dinner 20:00 was very late for us.

Amazing view. We had room 605. We kept the curtain open at night so that we could see the lights around the bay. Breakfast was good with a various selection of things.

The restaurant had good food but three times when I asked for a cocktail they said no because not enough staff. One evening the kitchen was closed when we wanted to eat there.

Old town experience.

Amazing location and views over the dove park. Easy walking distance to the harbour and boat trips etc. The continental breakfast was amazing with good views from the restaurant. Not a 4☆ high volume hotel BUT a wonderful family run comfortable hotel within walking distance of the old town and Poniente Beach.

Would have preferred a double bed and not 2x single beds. Some people may find that a Full English breakfast is not available but available at the restaurant on the front (with 10% discount for hotel residents on all purchases).

I booked a special request room for a sea view before I arrived, whenbi got there they gave me a room overlooking rundown buildings,and said they weren't granting me my request, I had no safe in my room either ,no facilities, very unhappy

Lovely short stay for 4 nights

Good location and bar outside great for a drink or a bite to eat offering hotel guests 10% discount off food and drink.

Facilities basic, no tea/coffee making facilities, a little touch that would go a long way. For a short stay, buying these out there is a bit of a waste.

Our second time staying at hotel Colon and hopefully not the last, the hotel is a little gem and handy for everything.

The Colon is a lovely little hotel overlooking the start of Poniente beach with the beautiful sands less than 10m from hotel entrance. Our room was sea view which is a must to enjoy everything that’s going all around the location of hotel. The staff are friendly and very welcoming and go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. The rooms themselves are nothing fancy but they are very clean and looked after.

Absolutely nothing. The location of hotel Colon would be hard to beat but beware when booking, a sea view room is essential to fully enjoy this hotel, it’s so nice and relaxing to sit out on your own balcony and get all the vibes from the street below which has lots of busy restaurants with outdoor seating, also enjoy all the wonderful views of the sea and beach area.

Traditional family ran hidden 💎

This is a perfect traditional Spanish hotel in Old Town Right on the beach All the rooms at the front have amazing views the rooms are spacious Modern bathroom Fridge and aircon Nice balcony Free WiFi Staff are helpful and polite, there is a restaurant underneath the hotel where as a resident of the hotel you get 10 % off food and drink Pet friendly Beautiful traditional, not a sky scraper, simply lovely, will definitely return if I come back to benidorm

Amazing staff and sea view

Fantastic view from the balcony, only a little more to pay for a sea view. Breakfast lovely, location amazing. The staff were the nicest of any hotel we have stayed in. I hurt my leg and they assisted with a free wheelchair and crutch and did everything possible to make me comfortable. Amazing place ☺️

Friendly staff and excellent location

Had a fantastic stay at Hotel Colon for the past 5 nights. The hotel staff went above and beyond for us during our stay there. The rooms are a decent size and beds are very comfortable. The location couldn’t be better, just a stones throw away from the lovely clean beaches and situated next to some lovely bars and restaurants in the old town. A 10/15 min walk to the more lively bars by the beach. Will definitely by returning. Thank you!
