Value for money near Grossglockner

We got it for a very reasonable price. Extremely close to Grossglockner. Complimentary muesli, waffles and jam were immensely comforting in the morning.

There was only one single power socket in the room to charge all your devices.

Good for the money, cozy!

A good value for the money. The self-check-in was smooth, although I don't understand why there is a time limit for check-in (up to 8 pm). The house is very sweet with a big common kitchen and coffeemaker available. We had a separate apartment on the last floor with 3 bedrooms and a kitchenette and bathroom, and it was clean and pleasant. The balcony was nice for star gazing and listening to the river and mountains. It faces the road but in the evening you won't hear lots of cars driving there. Also, there is a parking spot available right in the yard. The location was perfect for visiting Grossglockner Road in the early morning - around 15-20 minutes of driving. The owners recommended a bakery in the village - it's not an actual bakery but a minimarket with suuuuper tasty and fresh buns & rolls, it opens at 6 am.

The owners recommended having dinner at Hotel Post restaurant since they offer a discount for Chalet Charlotte's visitors, but when we came there they were surprised and said there was no agreement between their companies. The small discount was made by the restaurant but just for us not to get disappointed.

Accomodation is fully equipped and you will find everything what you might need - including many games and biliard in the basement. All rooms wew clean and nicely equipped.

Bed was little bit soft and small (but that is just personal preference).

Location is great, right before the beginning of the Großglockner high alpine road. Owner is super friendly. Room had nice view and the balcony.

Shower is basically directly in the room, I guess we could have figured it out if we’ve checked on pictures in more detail. It didn’t influence our stay much, because we’ve visited in warm season, so it was ok. But I can imagine it might be inconvenient in winter, when all the humid from the shower stays in the room as you can’t open windows for long because of the cold.

Spotless clean. Very nice and helpfull host. Nice balcony, good size room and comfortable bed. Good facilities, possibility of having coffee or tea at any time.

Nothing I wouldn't like. There was no breakfast available but we booked our room late and our host gave us an alternative of having breakfast in the near by hotel.

Nice hotel

We liked that they had a lounge for all the guests full of books, games and pool table. We were the only guests in all the house but it was nice that the owner contacted us about the arrival time and greeted us at the agreed time.

Beautiful Chalet

We arrived earlier than anticipated and were immediately met and welcomed to the chalet by our charming hostess. The place is beautiful, immaculately clean and very comfortable. There was coffee and tea available at all times and breakfast was offered for 7 euros per person. It was a wonderful meal. You will be happy to stay here!

The room is clean, comfy. There is even coffee and tea provided at self-service station. We ordered breakfast and love the wide spread of breakfast that has been provided for us, with the lovely pot of coffee and tea. The host Nicola is very friendly & helpful. I encountered some issue with changing of dates and Richard helped me with booking.com and we managed to change the date without any charges. Would have stayed longer if time permits.

I didn't get to stay longer to enjoy the surrounding wonderful nature. Such a pity.
