This wasn't my first time at this hotel – nor the last one, hopefully. Somehow I've come to like this place very much – friendly staff, atmospheric building, pleasant area of Bangkok

Everything. Homely feel.
Carrying heavy bags up to the higher rooms when you arrive. But you only have you only have to do it once :-)

The location was fantastic! It’s just a short walk to Khao San, so you can explore the area, but it’s also on a quieter street, which is great for avoiding the crowds. Plus, there was a massage place right next door that made it easy to unwind. They also gave us fresh towels every day, which really made our stay comfortable. The staff were also very friendly.
I found it a bit of a hassle to always have to take off my shoes just to get into my room. It was especially frustrating when I just needed to grab something or use the bathroom. Plus, we had to return the key every time we left, which meant that after even a short trip, like a quick 7-11 run, the room would be hot and muggy because the AC had turned off.
