This is a budget hotel

This is a budget hotel and it shows. The evening meal was great, breakfast ingredients appeared to be low cost. Rooms adequate.

Poor needs more work.

Location for my work

It’s obvious been refurbished but very cheaply needs more work. Bar and restaurant were closed at 7pm on a Thursday evening when I went down at 6.50pm Had to go out and find a restaurant not ideal after a day on site. Breakfast was poor a burnt sausage a rasher of bacon and a mountain of beans. Breakfast juices were actually squash wouldn’t recommend

Very clean rooms, bed was very comfy, friendly staff, ideal location. Plenty of parking

Needs updating rooms were ok but reception area and corridors need to be more inviting very dated. Breakfast basic with limited choice of cereal and juice wasn’t the best. Cooked breakfast looked nice but didn’t have this so can’t comment.

Disappointing service to room and shower failure.

Room was not cleaned when we returned from day out . No tea bags milks or fresh cups . Shower head was in need of replacing held on by black tape and intermittent water flow. Breakfast was deep fried we did not eat it.

Enjoyed the stay, shame about the quilt, but hey I slept okay, I would happily stay there again. Great price.

It’s a lovely homely hotel, with good facilities, the shower in the room (224) was amazingly good and blooming powerful, it’s a shame more hotels don’t have these showers, and very helpful staff and a brilliant chef. The room was very clean, shame about the rubbish in the top drawer.

The continental quilt was ‘dead’ its was just a heavy weight on your body and probably coming to the end of its useful life, but these are consumable items and you cannot expect them to perform 100% forever. There was discarded paper and rubbish in the top drawer of the desk, which should have been cleaned by the house staff.

Didn’t have breakfast as there’s no one available at reception to explain things to guests. You call them on arrival and wait until they come. No welcome except for them giving you your key. Missed breakfast as l assumed holiday was same as weekend. My fault I guess 🤦🏾

To have staff available at all times and explain things to guests. No lift . Mouldy bathroom, old outdated everything.

It was not made clear that you had to pay extra for a cooked breakfast which is advertised as in with price. The coffee was just warm, egg not cooked through,

The room was cosey but noisy, could hear TV from next room, doors banging, noisy water running whenever others used the toilets

Great parking, amazing room with super comfy bed. High pressure water and piping hot Heating set perfectly, not too warm during the night and comfortably warm when waking up. Bar was great and so were the staff. Will be using again

I expected a breakfast with the price I paid like I did in the last four times we've been there, but they expected us to pay for £ 8.00 per person which I expected to be in the price which that is ridiculous.

Despite booking.com not paying the hotel for 4 of the 5 nights booked, the hotel, honoured my booking and went the extra mile for our visit. As a disabled person attending a family funeral, the hotel helped make it as easy as possible. They had still not been paid fully for our visit when we left.

The window in the room had a piece of card taped over it the bath panel was cracked marks on the carpet and i started to ich within 10minutes in the room so much so i didnt spend the night there and i went and got another hotel
