Nice stay - shame about the cues

Location and secure parking

Rooms did not have much character and no kettle. It had a functional bar with a great pool table- but all cues were non-functional. With the amount paid per night - you would imagine they could €2 or cue tips.

Great central position, with parking as a bonus - a lovely Town to visit

Lovely location and at breakfast the staff could not do enough for us - very attentive. There was a bar and pool table so it felt homely. It was great that we had a car park space in the middle of Troyes.

The room was small and decoration a bit tired and the floors were uneven but we appreciate the hotel is over 100 years old so is quaint and quirky. The bed was not quite right for us to have a full night's sleep, not enough pillows so we had to use a blanket under them (yes we should have asked for more) One of the wardrobe sliding doors would not move without force. But as said it was a very old hotel.

Staff excellent unlike the shower

Staff were very friendly and helpful , good location and secure parking . Breakfast was excellent and I was able to fill my flask for the long car journey the next day

It was unseasonably cold , so the room was not very warm and I could not get any warm water to come out of the shower .

Perfect overnight going South

We stopped here for a Sunday overnight going south and it was ideal. Parking next to hotel so we could walk 5 minutes to the centre where lots of decent restaurants and bars open even on Sunday evening. Only issue was that the room (4) was very small but it didn't really matter for good night's sleep before the next drive. Thoroughly recommend but if you're staying in Troyes for a bit ask for one the larger rooms.

Excellent hotel in the historic area of Troyes

Always a favourite hotel travel through Troyes. Secure bike parking either in the main building garage or the annexe courtyard. Very central to the historic areas.

The staff on this occasion seemed to be very confused identifying which room I was staying in and even who I was. Otherwise all good.

Vey central, with large rooms

The location is very central, Charles the staff member who greeted us and showed us our rooms was very friendly and helpful as wer other staff we met. The rooms thoughnot mosdern were spaceous and clean. The only negative was that the TV's did not seem to work. but we pretty much only slept in the rooms so did not make much difference to us.

Beautiful old hotel close to the old town with very friendly and helpful staff.

Troyes old town is stunning and this hotel adds to that being a beautiful quirky old design. It may be due an internal refurbish soon but don't let that put you off. It has everything you need. All the staff were excellent, so friendly. It's location is a short walk to all the restaurants and bars in the old town and there is (limited) parking on site if you book early. Breakfast was good.

My only criticism would be the size of the breakfast room. If a refurbishment is due then enlarging the breakfast room should be the main improvement. Other than a decorative refresh, the rest of the hotel is fine.

Disappointing

Great location and very helpful staff. Parking is a massive bonus.,

The toilet was detached from the floor and made a noise all night - very difficult to sleep. It was 18 degrees outside and the room was very hot - it would be unbearable in the summer. The beds were very uncomfortable. Everything is very worn and tatty - greatly in need of a refurbishment. We are used to basic but the rooms have reached the end of their lives - we have stayed here twice and it has become increasingly run down. Such a shame as it is a beautiful historic building.

Excellent location, delightful old building, very helpful staff, highgly recommended

Very old historic buiding in the centre of town and a 5 minute walk from the main station. Lack of elevator was a possible problem for a second floor room but it was also a very old staircase built in quite small sections, so not too arduous. Excellent selection of eateries within a 7/8 minute walk. We had a good breakfast with a wide selection. Due to the age of the hotel the rooms are quirky but the designers have worked cleverly with the difficulties presented and this did not cause us any issues. Ber sure to reserve parking as there are not many spaces.

Durting our stay it rained quite heavily and the effect on the atrium roof was a bit noisy. There isn't a solution.

This was a return visit to Troyes and to this hotel. It was better than we remembered!

The eggs at breakfast were fantastic = and the availability of good gluten-free bread was impressive. The room was quirky, interesting and clean. Not large... the bathroom definitely small! Above all else, the reception staff were so friendly and helpful.

If we'd had more baggage, the stairs would have been tough. But we were travelling light.

The hotel is in a fantastic old building with exposed beams and sloping floors which give it great character... Just keep an eye on roller suitcases. Staff are great, very helpful. Paid for parking was a bonus. Hotel is 4 min walk from Avenue des Chats so dead central. Room and bed both small but quaint enough. Slept fine. We're only passing through. Didn't have breakfast.

If we had been staying longer I think room would have been too small. Also fan provided, and the day had been cool but imagine it would get warm if day was sunnier.
