Good location, clean and comfortable

The check-in directions were a little confusing. You have to walk up the stairs, which I didn’t know and thought I was in the wrong spot. That was the only thing.

We had a surprising and unique experience in Florence. What I thought would be a traditional hotel turned out to be a privately managed entire floor within a residential building. The owner renovated an entire level into about eight/ten rooms. While it’s not a classic hotel with a lobby and its own building, it felt cozy and personal. You enter the building using a code that is provided before arrival, and the "Hotel" is located on the first floor. There is a small reception area where the owners personally welcome guests and guide them to their rooms. The owners were absolutely fantastic and attentive, super responsive via chat, and ready to assist with anything we needed. The space was freshly renovated, clean, and in excellent condition. Both the room and bathroom felt modern, updated, and very well maintained. The design was simple, nothing overly fancy, but it ended up being a great place to stay. A renovated room and bathroom are among the most important things I look for when booking a hotel, and this property definitely met my expectations. Everything was spotless, and it was clear that the space is well cared for. Best of all, the location was outstanding, close to the il Mercato Centrale Firenze and easy to get around. It may not be your typical hotel, but it delivered a great stay in a unique setting.
