My home away from home in Antwerp!

Amazing property, in an amazing location, with the most wonderful hosts, and an incredible chef. My home away from home! Rooms are beautifully designed, architectural with great amenities. This is THE best spot in Antwerp to stay, closeby are the best coffee shops, boutiques and musea/galleries. Not to forget, this is very good value-for-money!

This is a boutique-city hotel. Do not expect Gym or Spa services within the property. But the concierge is incredibly knowledgeable and can recommend all you need nearby!

Loved the hotel, staff and interiors. Bonus that you can use a nearby gym and have a coffee machine in the room - I’d definitely stay again.

AC in my room was missing a cover - rattling noise during the night.

The toilet door can’t close properly, and there is a zoo/ fish smell in the toilet can’t get rid of. And the water temperature is a bit limited, its hard to take a hot bath

Beautiful design hotel, in a wonderful location with great atmosphere and staff.

The details of the property were wonderful. The design and the atmosphere created but the hotel and the staff was fantastic. A great location and fantastic suite.

We mentioned the room could have been maintained better by the cleaning staff. It’s a difficult room to keep on top of I’d imagine but small details went unnoticed. Staff were apologetic and it didn’t ruin our stay. It will not put us off from staying again - we will be back.

Our room was lovely and we loved the outdoor space with views over the roofs of Antwerp. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent. We also had a lovely dinner in the evening.

Friendly staff

Convenience, a comfortable bed, quiet room.

The electrics - you had to turn on the main light to operate the light in the toilet. A couple of lightbulbs were out making it difficult to read in the dark.; staff said they would sort it, along with the coffee machine.

Hotel was cosy, spacious room and nice restaurant area with good food. Nice location in Antwerp.

During our stay, the heating wasn’t working throughout. Room was different from advertised, more run-down than expected and no high-end toiletries as listed.

Superb

Great stay! Loved our quirky bedroom with the huge jacuzzi bathtub. So many amazing places to eat and drink nearby and the restaurant downstairs was nice for dinner and breakfast too. Location was perfect - we walked everywhere!

the hotel service and stuff need serious improvements

I liked the position of the hotel, the area offers a lot of spots for a good lunch, dinner and drink.

unfortunately the hotel did not warn us that the heating was not functioning and it was 3 degrees outside and a very low temperature inside. the heating was not functioning since 2 weeks as I was told later so it was not an emergency or a failure that has just happen that day and that the hotel could not solve I could hardly take a shower and during the night it was very cold. I was given an electric stove to warm the room up but you can imagine how long it takes to warm a 30m2 room with a small heater. it is not acceptable not to warn the guests when the reservation is done. I was offered 20% discount on the room price which in my opinion is too low. the stuff in the morning was not very kind, the people are too young to deal properly with the clients.

The focus is on the restaurant and less on the hotel We asked 2 separate beds which was not taken into account .The shower was complicated and deca coffee was not available. the breakfast starts at 8 am which is late for a weekday .

lovely design...good vibes.. love the coffee on ground...we had no reservation and all tables where booked but as a hotel guest you get priority and we sit outside for cocktails

there was no toothbrush at receptions as I forgot mine.. and I wanted to take a bubbel bath in the maaing GROENE bathtub with whirlpool.. but the device did not work.. unfortunently

A fantastic ‘hidden’ gem in every way!

We basically loved everything! It’s perfectly located, the interior is beautifully done without losing a homely feeling and it’s warmth. The staff is bubbly, friendly and inviting without being over-the-top. I wish we stayed a little bit longer because the terrace is a absolute gem to either start your day or gi for drinks in the evening. Staying at hotel Pilar is like a warm blanket and leaving is not a ‘goodbye’ but a ‘until next time’. And if you want to go back somewhere, for me, is always a perfect sign.

We loved everything!
