Not a stay, The whole experience was very maddening!

Nothing,

Perhaps it was due to construction in the area but after following our GPS for about an hour and not finding the place we called. The person who answered spoke only French and would not or could not get a manager or someone who spoke English. Then he hung up on us. This happened three times! This was very maddening and frustrating. Darkness was setting in and we finally had to make the choice of going to a different hotel. Their e-mail called us a no show which was technically correct but we really feel like it wasn't our fault.

Wouldn’t really recommend

It was in a good place to explore the City.

Our room didn’t lock, so we felt very uneasy. And breakfast wasn’t worth the money. I wouldn’t recommend staying- especially with a family.

Extra bonus is that during the summer every night there is a light show on the facade of the cathedral at 11pm sharp. Easy stroll to and from event. This location provided easy walking access to all the best historical and cultural spots in Rouen!

Well located traditional hotel in the center of Rouen

Traditional two star hotel right in the centre of Rouen. Breakfast available in brasserie downstairs.

Some might find steep staircase - and no lift - a problem. ( But you can’t expect that for a traditional hotel right in the centre).

Great stay!

The hotel is right in the middle of Rouen and has everything you need. It's very clean and comfortable. Tea and coffee provided and staff were lovely.

The bathroom is a little basic and all the rooms are up flights of stairs so not great if you had accessibility issues

Close to attractions and shopping. Character architecture. Friendly and helpful staff.

Steep staircase would be a challenge for older guests. Would helpful to have a map of how to find the local carpark. Bath could do with a handrail due to its curved bottom making it slippery

Great location, opposite the Palace de Justice. Easy parking nearby. Fantastic for a stop-over in Rouen on our way south through France.

Nothing superior about this room

Location & view

There is no proper shower, you have to sit in the bath to shower Someone walked into our room in the morning. We were not aware other people had keys. The room and the bed are tiny, you can hear things outside the room like they’re inside and not that comfortable. It’s also full of cheap furniture. For the money, it’s definitely not worth it. Nothing superior about this room

Time for an upgrade

The hotel is situated in the heart of the historic city. Close walking distance to Cafés and places of interest. The staff were helpful and the breakfast was enjoyable. Found the beds bit too firm.

Please, please, please upgrade the bathroom. The screen on the bathtub/shower leaked water over the floor. My partner slipped hurting himself in the cramped confines. The base of the bath is rotting. This is letting your beautiful surroundings down.

Good value for the location

Great location, good views, quiet, basic but comfortable, bath, breakfast in the cafe on the ground floor, all in all excellent value for a one night stay on our Normandy cycling tour.

Our room was on 4th floor and the stairs are steep and quite narrow. We were aware of this and were ok with the stairs, but would be a problem for some.

Excellent location and value in historic Rouen.

Excellent, excellent location in downtown historic Rouen and very affordable for my more modest travel budget. My view was of a huge building dated to 1045! I choose my hotels based on location and low per night. I do not need a resort experience. Id rather spend my money on the trip and doing things. The stairs are a bit precarious but that was in the description of the property. Breakfast included is a great start to the day.

This is a lovely place to stay right in the heart of Rouen. No lift so you need to be ok with stairs, but good room, a yummy breakfast and friendly staff

I was very glad to have this "base" for a four-day stay, including a day trip to Giverny.

A good value, centrally located. I was glad that I added the daily Petits Déjeunés, also a good value. Staff friendly and helpful when asked. window view of the lovely Palais de Justice.

NOT its fault! -- having France's FETE DE LA MUSIQUE with rock bands until midnight, right outside my window, which made my Day One's tired arrival a lot more tired . . .

Great stay in the city center

I liked everything in this hotel: from it's location (my room overlooked Justice Palace) to the comfort of the bed and amenities. Everything was super clean. Clear instructions on check in (it was Sunday, everything was closed, so they left me a card and a pin code to get in). Even though the hotel is located right in a smack of the city center,vit was surprisingly quiet. Please be aware that the hotel is located in an old historical building: there is no elevator. Only a narrow spiral staircase. So if you have mobility issues, this place is not for you.

It was so bad we left after one night.

The view was nice. Staff was kind.

The manager promised he would reimburse us for our stay but did not. I showed him photos of our room with mold, a hand held shower that wouldn’t stay up for hands free showering, and a bag from the previous occupant which was left as the room was not cleaned well. I contacted them through booking.com via both email and phone afterwards and still no response. Don’t stay there.

I loved the location, so central but far enough away from the main roads so you aren’t hearing all of the traffic. the staff are so supportive and friendly. we had an issue with the hairdryer not working in the room, but the staff had this resolved within 10 minutes so it barely impacted us at all. such a lovely place! we will most certainly be back.
