Apartamento Joana Vasconcelos, Ocean view & Pool - Pata da Gaivota

The garden, pool area, and view were spectacular although we could barely see the sea. Susana was very friendly and welcoming and allowed us to check in and leave bags early so we could attend an event. We didn't cook but the kitchen seemed fairly well supplied with utensils (but no bowls). WiFi worked well, even outside at the pool. My friends found the double bed comfortable. We enjoyed our stay and may visit again in spite of a few cons now that we know more about the villa and town.

No soap or shampoo for the shower. Given the price I expected some as places far less expensive have it. Only 2 partial rolls of toilet paper supplied with no extra rolls we could find when we needed it. The twin bed I used was one of the most uncomfortably hard beds I've experienced in several years of travel. I will pack an inflatable camping pad if I return. We needed a shade on the pergola as the sun shone full on the lounge chairs. In the hottest part of the afternoon it was uncomfortable to sit under the pergola. We weren't cooking and hoped to walk out for a good breakfast. Had to settle for very basic toast with processed meat and cheese as nothing else open for breakfast.

Lovely location nice and quite lovely and clean great parrot
