Everything costs extra - not a 5 star hotel experience

The room was very comfortable and modern. We loved the design of it. We had the best headspa of our lives - thank you Trish!

At this hotel, everything cost extra. The parking was extra per night, wanting a drink at the spa (either from the vending machine at the front of the hotel or 4€ for hot water for tea!) and even the spa itself, which we found disappointing as guests of a spa hotel. It was especially disappointing that even for the day we had booked a spa treatment we were not allowed entry to the spa for the rest of the day despite having spent so much money for the treatment. Also, the hotelroom has a ‘fridge’ but it only fits one bottle of water, which is provided. All in all, it didn’t feel like a 5-star hotel at all. Maybe an okay 4-star where you need to pay extra for everything.

The hotel and spa is good, the restaurant is my worst disappointment.

I really liked the spacious room with a bath, the swimming pool and saunas. The massage was also nice.

I didn’t like the mega expensive restaurant! We came at 18.00. The served the food at 19.00 - just a small piece. The second part arrived at 19.30! And we had to wait 20-30 minutes for all dishes from our order! My daughter and me were really disappointed with that. The food was not tasty at all. I asked for one menu for me and my daughter. They calculated it as two without asking me. I paid 206 euros for the 4 dishes from 1 menu. Not tasty at all, we waited for so long and the prices are just sky rocketing! I had to order extra food after this restaurant as my daughter didn’t eat anything from the order! Really really disappointed 😡😠

Our stay was very nice, we ate well, soaked in the spa, and rested well in our very nice room.

The Hotel is very comfortable, with a nice restaurant and cosy spa. We were upgraded to an executive suite which we enjoyed a lot, it was generous of them and a really nice room. We were grateful and well satisfied. The staff were very pleasant and welcoming. The spa was nice and cosy, we were well rested. The bed was very comfy too.

We were disappointed when we arrived to be told that the spa was no longer included for guests, that it is now an additional fee to access. This should be made clearer on their specification, as it still reads on here that guests have access to the spa. It doesn't mention that an additional fee is required. However, after some discussion they did resolve this. So in the end, even on this one fault, their customer service saved the day! We were grateful and satisfied.

Awkward to find on foot. Nearest tram stop had been closed since 2022. Modest charge for use of spa facilities apparently introduced only recently but not mentioned in promotional blurb .

The big plus is the access to the spa which has lots of pleasant areas.

The general level of service was not 5-star and the bed was not very comfortable (very soft mattress).

We had a lovely stay at this hotel. We only stayed for one night, on our way to our final destination. We arrived late and were upgraded to one of their suites, which was a very pleasant surprise. We enjoyed the spacious, connected rooms very much. Breakfast was great and the kids enjoyed the trampoline outside.

Location, it was a little deceiving, the pictures didn’t reflect the actual location, basically in the middle of an industrial estate, however they have made the best of the grounds.

This is the second time for us and it was perfect. We got an upgrade of the room free of charge although we did not enjoy it of its maximum. Good room (apartment), good service and wonderful spa.

Our weekend spa getaway at Savarin surpassed expectations.

Everything from check in to check out was really good. Staff, facilities & room pleasantly met our needs.

Breakfast in the morning was the only negative for us. As a curator myself I think the menu for breakfast should be updated or even a wider variety. My parent got sick from breakfast also so that was not so relaxing but it did not ruin our stay. Also the hand written welcome note was an amazing touch.

Definetely reccomended

Super clean place, very well designed and furnished rooms. Hospitality is also at an excellent level. Spa and massage are also highly reccomended. If you want to relax or have some romantic time; you can give this place a chance. For 27 euros you can ask for a late check out (at 15.00) and for 22 euros you can ask for romantic decoration (see the pic) We got an upgrade for an affordable price and stayed at the Executive Suite; welcomed with free cocktails, when our order at the cafe we got free drinks to apologize for it etc.

Parking is outrageously expensive (€19,50) for an industrial estate / highway location. The room’s floor was very dirty (see picture of my kid’s socks). Inconvenient and possibly dangerous shower tap: no mixer / thermostatic tap which was very sensitive to slight changes resulting in instant cold or (dangerously hot) water. Very soft and bouncy mattress. Curtains are not wide enough which makes darkening the room impossible despite the wooden slats. Check-in process is bothersome: being asked for all adult guests’ ID’s and a €50 deposit per guest is outdated in my experience. Especially since the reservation was made through Booking.com and paid by creditcard. Having to fill in personal information at check-in despite a Booking.com reservation is a general nuisance so not hotel specific. Finally the receptionist at check-out was rude by cheekily denouncing my evaluation after being asked if our stay was pleasant.

Exceptional as usual! Always stay here while in Hague. Great facilities and attention to details. Thank you for great hospitality and wonderful service. This time I stayed, we got an upgrade to a presidential top floor suite and had an amazing time!

Great place to relax and forget a little bit of the world outside

The staff is amazing! Always helpful :) Easy access both by car and public transportation, the SPA is very relaxing and the food is very good. We also got a room upgrade for our wedding anniversary and this was really nice ❤️

In general a nice, clean hotel. the rooms are large and well equipped and the spa is lovely.

The breakfast was underwhelming, no cooked options. They took our order for coffee and an egg but both never came and we had to ask for several other things. At check-out the staff made me pay for the stay even though it had already been paid for on booking.com which led to a lot of confusion and made the whole experience less than relaxing.

The breakfast was dreadful. It was not clear from the room service menu that a "simple" breakfast included so many items - enough for about four people - when all I wanted was coffee, juice and an egg. The coffee was disgusting - bitter and undrinkable. Gloomy decor.

Very good experience overall. The hotel room was spacious, comfortable and very clean. Great dinner and breakfast selection.

The spa area generally had something to offer for everyone (fairly big pool, relaxation area, steam sauna). Just the traditional saunas were disappointing as they have been small out-door barrels which did not quite reach the heat of a 'Finnish sauna'.
