Not really to do with the property itself but be careful if you open a door at night with a light on. We had heaps of crickets come in to join us!

we had a great few days in paihia, the motel was great, the pool was awesome at the end of the day

the location was great. a few kms out of pahia which was nice as paihia was very busy but close enuf to town. even though we were right by the main road, there was a peaceful area by the pool and each room had its own outside area.

Nothing really. the traffic at night was quite noisy but given it was the xmas new year period it was ok

Perfect base near but outside of Paihia

This is a simple motel where just everything is just right. Hosts, Bron and Grant could not be more helpful but discrete. Swimming pool is great, laundry useful, the cottage I was given was spacious and with super comfortable chairs inside and on the balcony.

It is close to the road, so the road noise is persistent (best focus on the birdsong which also emerges in the lovely trees around. A building site is creating. Housing site next door, should not affect things but sad.

From the moment we arrived we felt right at home. Parking right in front of the apartment, all sparkling clean and so well equipped ... everywhere ample storage space, good bedside tables on both sides of the bed, as well as easy to reach plugs, spacious bathroom with separate WC, good shower, fully equipped kitchen, comfortable bed, quiet room with view to the pool and beautiful garden. You could feel and see that the motel was planned by travelers for travelers! We hope to stay again in the future, and for more than 2 nights. We would have loved to spend more time at the motel and in the peaceful garden and pool. Next time :) Loved it!

Friendly, clean and comfortable

Fabulous small property with a homely feel. The hosts went out of their way to make sure everything met expectations. They were super friendly and provided plenty of tips on local spots to visit. The room was clean, bed comfy, and the kitchen had everything required to cook an evening meal. The pool looked inviting but being autumn a bit cool for a swim. Landry facility on site with a washer and dryer was an added bonus.

Location, about 2.5km from town so if you needed supplies only option is to drive to the shops. Really no big deal though.

I like the the motel was nice and peaceful to our needs as a family. Especially, felt safe with my child and that I could trust the feeling of being there with others staying there too. Dislike, maybe the mattress was too soft and the back door wouldn't close/lock fully.

looking out over the garden and could see a bit of the pool

milk was supplied for the first night and we where told to get our own milk after that we forgot to get milk so had to ask for some milk 2 night was mentioned did we forget milk. we didnt get daily towels changes we had to use the same towels each day which we found not good the bed didnt get made daily we didnt expect sheets to be changed but making of the bed would have been good. the place was cold the small heater was not up to standard we where impressed with the fact that the cottage we booked orginally they showed us and upgraded us to the apartment which was great, we where the only couple in the motel at the time they had ice make up in the freezer which was great nice couple friendly

Highly recommended

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the chalets. The rooms were lovingly restored to a high standard. The bed was large and comfortable. The room was very warm and spacious with a lovely little deck overlooking gardens. The second chalet had a lovely view from the front porch. Cooking facilities were well appointed and everything was extremely clean. The host was very friendly, informative and helpful. Our kids loved the pool.

Location was tricky if you wanted to get to Paihia and you couldn't get a taxi. Too far to walk. Bed was a bit small and creaked a bit

perfect idyllic setting and accomodation all round !

Fantastic boutique accomodation - totally exceeded my expectations. The linen was crisp and clean and the hosts admirable and obliging ! The pool and garden setting was perfect - we had the most wonderful visit and to have fresh dahlias on the table on arrival was the icing on the cake !!!
